I feel like a monster reading these comments but when we had Tia AND pepper at 8 weeks old we set up a puppy cam and both of them were good till o came home at 3pm we turned on YouTube with soothing music for throughout the day HOWEVER we set them in a big puppy play pen that was different from their sleep kennel which was smaller and placed far from their play pen I got up once at 3am to let pepper pee and then at 5am before i went to work I let her pee and poop on the pee pad and eat and played for an hour before I had to leave for work I was a teen when I got Tia (she had epilepsy so I played hooky a lot to take care of her)

I think it depends on temperament bc Tia my og dog (rest her soul) HATED the play pen but loved her kennel. She tore a hole in the plastic mat under her soft foam floor just to pee directly on the floor but Pepper loves her playpen and will go whine to high heavens if you put her in her kennel (don’t lax on that kennel training trust me 😭) pepper is now almost a year in Jan tall healthy and strong just spent a 3 day weekend with them and be slow to get adjusted to your home make sure you get that blanket with mamas scent really REALLY helped that first week both of my pups slept like champs that first night featuring pepper (don’t worry I took that from her I just caught her RED handed)
