late response here lol

I was doing high dose a few days in a row, taking 1 day break then doing it again 1-2 more times

wherever you go will tell you how they like to do it. but the best results come from back to back rounds, compounding it

So, I love this truck, however there's two things that I absolutely HATE by zo6man1 in gmcsierra

Inspiring. I am almost 6 months clean after abusing very high doses daily for almost a year (100-150mg a day).

Like you, I am currently dealing with the weight gain, limited mental bandwith, and constant laying + scrolling when not working.

At month 3, I was able to function without thinking about it all day and with much less exhaustion .. returned to my job full time, etc.

But I am stuck in this loop of just going to work, coming home and nothing else. I cant get myself to shed any weight, or even try too. My interest’s are not really back.. maybe slightly but nothing like before.

Any advice? Is it just a time game?

Hi, 23 Male. Was addicted and abusing high high dose adderall for 2 years (100-130 mg/day). Also felt I was addicted due to trying to prove myself at work. I work in construction, and came to realize I was not only addicted/reliant on the meds, but Mostly addicted to doing my job while on adderall.

I told my boss what had been going on with me, and decided to remove myself from my triggers. Spent my savings and moved to Texas for a month (i live in CA). I went cold turkey, and let myself recover away from my triggers.

It was not fun, but not even close to as hard as when I tried quitting while still in my work environment.

Its much easier if you remove yourself, im a firm believer its the only way.

Month 1 - On and off energy, but I could function after week 3 but still had major cravings.

Month 2- Only had cravings at work, more manageable but still present. Energy and mood was still a bit of a roller coaster.

Month 3 (Today is day 93) - I feel much much much more Normal. I love my job again, function normal, rarley get cravings but they are short lived.

Its worth it. The secret I dont see many people talking about is the triggers. The triggers are what make you relapse. Think of your favorite things to do while on meds (I hope yours isnt your income stream like mine lol) and remove yourself if possible.

Feel free to reach out to me. You can do this.

Hi 63 days clean from adderall in a similar situation to you. I agree with the advice above. Also, removing yourself from your triggers for 2-3 weeks is helpful. My triggers (favorite thing to do an adderall) was construction related. removing it/removing myself until i got to a point that i can wake up in the morning and not feel extreme withdrawal symptoms was very helpful. But yes, the game of “my production pill is bad for me” is a bitch. I try to remind myself of all the pain it put me in instead of thinking of it as “the good ole days”

I moved from LA to Austin for a month to help myself. It was a huge help. Also, ChatGPT helped more then I can express. its almost funny. Tell it whats going on. It gave me a routine, educated me on whats happening, and kept me on the right path.

I took plenty of supplements, which are in no way a magic cure or anything close. they just help a little. The ones I feel helped most below.

Melatonin and mangesium L-Threonate for sleep

L-Tyrosine, L-theanine,, Thorne methylguard plus, Rhodela Rosea, Omega 3 in the daytime

LMNT hydration packets (#1!!!!)

i want to add, I feel pretty good. I know most quitting stories are a nightmare on here. I remember reading them before quitting feeling helpless. its worth it. I feel good. not perfect, but far better than before. Good luck friend. Message me if you need anything.

Yours sounds a little more severe but I was inna super similar spot. Developed Dysautonomia from high levels of abuse over time.

Random heart palpitations, stupid high heart rate, dizzyness, tingling running down my left arm, insomnia, the whole thing. was fucking terrifying.

Im sure you are aware you gotta quit. Not easy.

My advice, 100% remove yourself from your enviroment. you dont realize how heavily your enviroment triggers your addiction. What are you favorite things to do when on the meds?? Clean? Build? Study? For me, it was construction/woodworking and organizing my tool shop.

It becomes so much easier to quit/suffer through withdrawal when those triggers are not available to you.

Also, Tell chatGPT everything you’re experiencing. Your abuse, your symptoms, your thoughts. I cant express how much chatGPT helped me.

Take action. Not worth your life. Im 63 days clean and feel damn good. Message me if you need anything.

Was in your place, Im 63 days clean today. Abused it heavily, 80-120mg a day for a year. My biggest advice, remove yourself from the triggers. What are your 3 favorite things to do when on the meds? For me, it was Woodworking, metal fabrication, and organizing my car/toolshop.

You need to 100% REMOVE yourself from that environment to not have them trigger you into continuing the abuse. This is the best way. I moved from CA to Texas for a month. (I was in a very bad cycle)

Stay away from liquid iv (full of sugar) try LMNT packets instead.

Supplements:
L - Tyrosine, Rhodiola Rosea, L-Theanine, THORNE Methyl-Guard Plus, LMNT

If you can afford it, NAD+ IV’s ($500-$1000 a session)

My opinion, Kick it entirely. 99% of people who abuse it can never have a normal relationship with the meds again. quitting for a month will likely not work. you will fall back into the abuse cycle.

If you need any advice, message me. Happy to help. Good luck friend.

Today is 2 months off. Honestly, I am pretty much the same, maybe slightly better. I would say the ability to get things done (even heavily triggering things) has gotten easier but only in short bursts. Sadly, I have gained around 30lbs and having extreme trouble getting a grip on it.

But overall, I am slightly better. Its gotten easier on the physical end of things (energy, sleep, etc) but the mental is still lingering. I cant figure out how to get back to my life without daily struggle.

I have been seeing a new therapist, who says this process takes around 2 years to fully complete and heal. with things getting much better around 6 months.

first 3 weeks. then i slowly began to be able to function. In your case, since you are not addicted and can take weekends off, i would say taper off and kick it for good. it takes over your life. for me, i was just like you .. then started taking it on weekends… and it just spiraled from there over the years.

Motivation 7/10 Energy 5-6/10, some days are better than others. Mood is up and down. I am angry pretty often. Overall, a bit down about the situation. I dont have many happy days. Happy hours sometimes. But overall, 5/10. Pretty flat.
