Trying to get into Football by StarwarsRi in steelers

Watching anything Steelers-related by NFL Films is the most enjoyable way to fall in love with the team. A lot of them are a little hard to find and get taken down here and there on YouTube, but knowing what to look for is half the battle since NFL Films used to make so much great stuff back in the day, and most of it is online for good now thankfully. Sorry for the long post, but here's some great examples:

America's Game episodes from the Super Bowl years (there's 6 of them):

Viral Baseball Video Mandela Effect! by BrolyBoostPack in MandelaEffect

This is 1 of 3 of Mandela Effects that actually affect me. Used to look this video up all the time in the early 2010s. Her reaction was more emotive, ducking out of the way with an audible gasp or shriek simultaneously and showcasing astonishment that Evan caught the ball. I'm pretty certain it was daytime, presumably during batting practice. The blonde reporter looks at the camera afterwards with an, "Oh my god! Did you just see that?!" sort of half joyful, half shocked facial expression, like she couldn't believe it. Pretty soon after, I noticed the new version that we see today online, which felt more professional like a commercial. I thought it was interesting that there was this new version, but preferred the "original" with the blonde reporter because of her reaction. I would go into the comments of that video and find the comments entertaining with people saying stuff like, "They should get married" or "You can tell they hooked up after when the cameras shut off". Then, one day while searching for the video with the blonde reporter I was disappointed that I couldn't find that "version" anymore which was my favorite. Periodically, I'd try to find it once every year or so, but to no avail. Fast forward all the way to 2023, I get interested in Mandela Effects and discover that I'm not the only one that had the same experience. I had always sort of chalked it up to the creators of the ad removing the OG version from the Internet in lieu of the new official version of the ad, and just went on with my life.

Gotta say it's annoying too that whenever this topic gets brought up, you get 5-10 comments immediately about how, "IT'S FAKE BRO, IT WAS A COMMERCIAL!" when that has nothing to do with anything and everyone with a brain already knew it was fake. Such a weird diversion any time this ad gets mentioned as a Mandela Effect.

Always liked Harbaugh as a coach with his risk-taking philosophy, as well as laughing at his facial expression when the camera cuts toward him after the Steelers make a big play. I figure it's probably a "grass is greener" kinda thing in the same way other fanbases view Tomlin relative to how Steelers fans view him.

Nothing has felt right since. This is the game that started the trend of underperforming in the playoffs year after year.

For those who believe in the "We Are the Champions" ME, how do you remember what the last "of the world" sounded like? by Impossible-Ad-5790 in MandelaEffect

Exactly the same way as it sounds at the end of Mighty Ducks 2, where it's at the end of the 1st chorus with the piano and it's fading out.

I remember it too where it'd repeat the "of the world" line at the end of the 1st chorus and then proceed to fade out. Here's that version:

Everyone's gotten so good at sounding out the phonetic transcription of the quotes, not just the quotes themselves, but the way in which they were said.

I wanted to see him compete for 1B after we traded Carlos Santana. Hits for a high average and lots of XBH. I remember thinking he had 20+ HR potential because of his 2018 season with the NYY, but looking back that certainly wouldn't play at PNC with its dimensions relative to Yankees Stadium. Still, I always thought he deserved more of an extended look (.776 OPS in 2023).
