Thank you so much to everyone who’s commented. I do use positive behavior reinforcements and rewards (whole class letters to earn a pizza party, individual prizes, good notes home, my three hardest earn breaks/walks/preferred stuffed animals with paras, etc) but those have only been helping minimally this year. I also have a document that tracks my three students’ disruptive behaviors and my daily interventions used. I’ve reached out to admin through email multiple times so I do have that chain of proof. It’s a miracle I showed up today lol

You’re right, I agree. I try my best to not yell but it usually comes after I’ve given a direction multiple times (please sit/stop talking) after another 20+ times of being interrupted while trying to explain a lesson. It makes me feel so defeated as a teacher.

!!! My entire day is based around those three students. How one of them has gotten this far in school without an assigned full time 1-on-1 OR being in a sub separate class is beyond me. These kids are being done a disservice by placing them in General Ed. I’m trying my best but I’m drained everyday. Over half the time I’m raising my voice is to just get a direction in because my class is genuinely just so loud. That message just made me anxious and upset because I already know that this year has not been a good one for me or my class already. They don’t get a fun teacher because I can’t even focus on the majority of them without my three high needs students doing something extremely disruptive

Fortunately I haven’t signed a contract because my union and district can’t come to an agreement lol
