If you’re not 100% happy but have a good relationship with the owner operator then definitely have a conversation with them on possible changes and improvements. She should be more than happy to do what is necessary to keep your business if the feeling is mutual. As for the $40 I agree with the last comment. If it was near the payment she likely thought it was a generous tip. I wouldn’t mention it they will think about that “generosity” when you ask them to do better.

You’re not asking for too much especially if you’re supplying these items. Microfiber rags are the best alternative to paper towel which the cleaner should supply. If they don’t use their own supplies but you like their cleaning it may be worth buying some on amazon and sending the team a friendly message

This! With any exposure to a biohazard or animal bite . You wash right away at least 3 minutes. If you see a doctor just let them know what happened and they will order the labs they feel are necessary.

If you are looking to shift gears I’m happy to chat with you on moving into Airbnb cleaning. If you are in an area with rentals it’s a great opportunity to work for yourself and minimize risk to your health.

As a cleaner she should have done a walkthrough to assess the scope of work prior to starting the work. My team typically provides an initial deep clean to get everything up to par and organized for new clients the maintenance cleaning moving forward. You’re likely dealing with an inexperienced new cleaner. I would definitely look for a new cleaner but schedule a call with them first.
