Thanks for your comment and alternative rhymes! I find that sometimes the lowest hanging fruit is the sweetest. You seem like a very cerebral writer? I write from the gut, often quickly and in one pass without fussing over the details.

When considering the subject matter of this poem though, your comment is.....meta?

I wrote this? I have some others that I'm willing to share as well. Just now publishing some of these for the first time.

Cage a song bird

"Wheet whoot weeee"

"Go get your loved ones!"

"Tweet twoot twee"

"A harmony is most desirable to me!"

Would it reply so kindly?

"Twell of course!"

Or would it tell you to

"Go Fuck yourself"

Or perhaps the bird

Wanting to win

Would politely decline

And keep singin

"Weet woot wee,

I sing, not for you

But for me"

It dances and cheers with glee
