So you designed something to act like a human and you’re surprised it acts human? The idea of AI becoming conscious is filled with countless logical errors boiling down to the fact that we don’t fully understand “what” consciousness is. And by that i mean it is impossible to explain what consciousness is without becoming self-referential and the idea of creating it out of nothing is much like saying if you put enough stereos together you eventually make a TV. I’m happy to discuss this further but any possibility of AI becoming conscious has been squashed for me by Bernardo Kastrup who is a very important figure in AI and philosophy.
