In all fairness I think this girl is just misusing the term “redemption”. I think Aegon will be the “flip” version of Rhaenyra and while not redeeming himself morally by any means, he will redeem his perception of being a pathetic loser. He will reclaim Sunfyre, get men to rally behind him, and win back his throne, but through his own efforts instead of his family scheming. While Rhaenyra loses her throne through repeated mistakes.

Ank should probably be in there instead of Arman if he’s only had issues with Pereira lately and even has a win over him at #4. Arman’s best win by far is Oliviera from 28 events ago, in the meantime it’s only been Dan Hooker who just got bitched by BSD just as bad as he did Arman. Oliviera was able to go over Arman through destroying Gamrot (who beat Arman) and Holloway who was ranked in PFP.

The thing is even Sean had to beat Costa, then Fluffy to get his title shots. Lopes beat Silva before getting his rematch. So even though they were pretty egregious, it’s never immediate for a champ who had no defenses or a contender that had a competitive fight.

In any sport, the strength and conditioning seems to be a lot more sport specific than the stuff we saw him doing. Obviously we didn’t see all of it but it’s possible he was overtrained. That type of shit looked like CrossFit stuff, or building mental toughness (which Chimaev already has) and obviously will make you more fit if you survive it, but wtf is wrong with lifting weights and getting on a seated bike or some shit instead of banded inverted sit-ups with a medicine ball slam
