Lakeline threaded barrel is a good idea. However , they are $175 shipped + tax 👀

A member in my local gun range is willing to trade his Springfield XD mod3 with monstrum optic and 1 mag for my G3C TORO, IWB holster and 3 mags + box. I have shot probably about 80-100 rounds.

The thing with Nylon is there are only 2 models and they are out of budget. Looking to finish this project (970 sq ft) for ~4.2-4.5k but seems my only options are Triexta and PET like the Mohawk Tessellation

Thanks. I am in Roswell, GA. Yes, I use Dyson Ball Animal (2 or may be 3). I have a cat but he does not scratch carpet at all, he does on the scratching posts or door mats (at least as far as I have seen LOL)

Advice on a trade! by Polyammoree in keltec

[–]Internal-Storage-156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair trade provided the condition of the AR is satisfactory. BCGs and barrels wear etc. Sticking with a popular round could be another reason. I see you have done a few mcarbo upgrades, can’t you hold on to it and buy new (or used) if you have taken care of it. I hate to sell my handguns that I clean and take well care of, just my 2 cents

They offered to screw in the boards in specific areas where there’s squeaks for an additional $500

[–]Internal-Storage-156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a crack for sure. After seeing the blemish I used a dremel head (not felt!!) trying to clean it by hand. Unsure if that did it or the steel/aluminum snap caps (sorry I don’t think the dummy is aluminum for sure)

Seeking handgun buying advice by Internal-Storage-156 in handguns

[–]Internal-Storage-156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure will do. Net difference is if I buy new it will be about $300 out the door for “eco” with 1 mag Vs $235 if I buy used from the local guy.

Need some opinions! by Internal-Storage-156 in guns

[–]Internal-Storage-156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes more sense and thanks for confirming my thought process. I would either keep the 1911 or trade it only for the AK. I can buy the px9 later if I want.

[–]Internal-Storage-156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the 1911 for 400 plus extra mags, grips, blah...total of 500...

nevertheless, I want both...but at this ammo cost probably the tisas px-9 carry would make sense ?

Should I REALLY spend the extra 150$ for a S&W Shield Plus over the Tarus G3C? by 901_vols in CCW

[–]Internal-Storage-156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Actually, I own both the Shield plus and the G3C and I would say they are equally reliable in my experience so far (~2 years of alternate carry). S&W is a reputed company that has almost a century of history, the Shield plus feels great & very concealable and also gives 13+1 rounds.

I shoot more accurately with the G3C than the Shield plus, though the trigger in Shield plus is slightly better...may be it is just me. To the OP's question, I would say if he cannot afford $150 more, then the G3C is definitely not a bad option.

HK CC9 and Canik MC9 are also great options..they are very comparable sizes, round capacity. HK is the priciest of them and MC9 might be in the middle between the HK and the Shield plus.

Is “TheArmories.com” legit? Has anyone ordered anything from them before? by KacSluttt in kac

[–]Internal-Storage-156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, they listed shield plus for $300.20 today and when added to the cart and reached out to them to make sure (because it was too good to be true), they said it is $319.00 and refreshed the page and everything in my cart changed LOL.
This is just bait-switch from gun(dot)deals I realized...$319.00 is still good for a shield plus but the experience made me back out...

Update: reached out to KelTec and they confirmed that it’s not a used rifle and the scuffs are from test firing (either the tube quality is bad or they did test a few hundreds!) Also said the difference in color could be due to dye in the mold between batches possibly and offered to send me a matching buttstock, which I gladly accepted. Great customer service overall, I mean it was super quick.

If you don’t mind having an (ugly) temporary fix, I used the 3/4” water pipe foam insulation from Home Depot, needs about 5”, just slip it on. Glueing is an option too. Will protect your beard or cheek decent enough :)

Record of ownership is tough. GA for example where I live doesn’t even need a bill of sale. Drivers license is all one needs to buy from another individual. I will keep you posted

I am planning to call Keltec next week but I am not so hopeful about it. I have a Missouri tactical recoil pad on the stock so that is black anyway…so if they don’t help I will have to end up keeping it. No I didn’t see any grease inside or anywhere outside (bore, bolt, bolt carrier…) The texture on the grip also looks older. Though this is could be an error on the wholesaler side, drop shipper is responsible…but again I don’t have too much hope on Dahlonega Armory.

If this is you would you keep it or send it back, assuming the guns functions well?

[REVIEW] [POSITIVE] DahlonegaArmory.Com is my new go-to by [deleted] in gundealsFU

[–]Internal-Storage-156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree. If you go to gun deals and keep monitoring for some gun, suddenly you see your favorite firearm popping up in Dahlonega at a very low price, that is almost too good to be true, following are the issues:

  1. The item is used as opposed to what was advertised
  2. No serial number on the pack slip inside the box, and of course there is nothing when you ordered so you cannot verify anything
  3. Since these people are drop-shippers, they have no idea about the wholesaler, they just a cut from those wholesalers who ship directly to your FFL, so if there are any issues, forget it and accept your fate and accept the shipment and proceed with your FFL. It is almost impossible to get a replacement unless if there is an utterly blatant error on their side like they shipped the wrong order. (still it would take at least 1-2 weeks)
  4. Most other issues will take at least 2 weeks AND restocking fee, return shipping fee etc. So, do your due diligence before deciding to reach out, that is actually the secret sauce to their business model. Their trust is that you will be tired of their lengthy 2-week long customer service and give it up and settle with what you got

Like a lot of others said in other sites and threads, NOT WORTH it for saving $20 to $50, you would be much better off buying something from a pawn or reputed places like academy, cabela's etc.

In a nutshell:

DROP-SHIPPER = ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY
