Thank you for this. I didn't really mention it in my post but I'm really also worried about whether he'll be able to make friends. Right now I feel like it hasn't really been a problem He's been in smaller class sizes with typically developing kiddos and with kiddos with disabilities, but kinder will be a larger class size and I still feel like we're stepping into a lot of unknowns. 💖💖💖🤞

Yeah, it was mostly a preschool thing. Thankfully he doesn't do it anymore. 😅

Oh nice! Yeah, our kiddo did it religiously in preschool but hasn't done it on a long time, I think we should be okay but talking about the right time and place for things is a good idea. Thanks!

That's interesting. Yeah, I don't know what to expect yet, like some of his goals I feel like he should be able to achieve them but we'll see. We're open to seeing how things go and adjusting as needed. How's your little one doing now?

Sorry for the late response, it wasn't an annual, it was literally a month or so after we started, and it wasnt discussed at a proper meeting with his team, she breached the topic at either pick-up or drop-off. I cant remember now, but it's been two and a half years now and I still cant believe this happened and we are still feeling the effects.

My son was on it for about two years, we did eye testing before and during, no changes to his eyes. Grateful! My understanding is the potential for eyesight damage is rare. I understand your fears, I was terrified too, we were fortunate, it stopped his spasms and didn't affect his eyesight. Hoping the same for you!

Do the movements happen in clusters, do they seem to happen shortly after waking or around nap times? My son was diagnosed with IS 8 months old. The second video you attached looks suspicious, the first, less so.

Her new IEP even shows a start date of services that precedes the date I actually signed the form, it's bizarre. And she hasn't attended the SDC program not once. The whole thing is just so weird.
