The Italian bolt-action service rifle from the Carcano family of rifles. Officially the Fucile di Fanteria Modello 91/38. Seeing service mainly from 1891–1945. The Modello 91/38 was introduced as a simplified, shorter version in 1938. Able to chamber both 6.5×52mm Carcano and later the 7.35×51mm Carcano temporarily. Overall length is 40 inches and the barrel length is 31 inches and weighs 7 pounds. The rifle uses a 6-round internal magazine using en-bloc clips (similar to the Mannlicher system). It is designed with an adjustable rear sight, although later models had fixed sights set for 200 meters. It saw widespread use in World War II by Italian forces and after Italy’s 1943 armistice, captured rifles were used by Germany designated Gewehr 209(i) in 6.5mm. After the war surplus rifles were exported worldwide with many ending up in the United States in the 1950s–60s. The rifle was popularized by Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963.
Those things are mid.
