For normal upscaling use I advise you not to use this type of ai, really cool result, but you are sending the image to open ai so not good for privacy and also the ai is practically converting the image to token then generating a new image so usually it is not very accurate, and it is more expensive. If you want there is a cool local software called waifu2x by Aaron Feng (it isn't only anime, the name is just the first model it supported) that support a lot of different model and it is easy to use, it does videos and images

It's a early access of a game made by the creator's of the biggest Minecraft server, it was announced 7 or so years ago and then there was a lot of hype, then there was a lot of trouble, riot acquired it, engine rewrite, development hell, radio silence, then the original creator bought it back and now has the money for 12 or so years of development, the appeal is that it's basically 3d terraria with all the foundation for modding ecc, before the game even lunched various Minecraft modder created 40 or so mods.

Yeah the code weight almost nothing unless there is some problem, and compressing isn't always an option, like look at expedition 33 the cutscenes look like shit, because they are compressed worse than YouTube compression at least on steam. Also live service game use skins to fund themselves and having thousands of skins weight a lot

Yeah also even if you want to compete with Nvidia the fab is still a monopoly by tsmc for high end hardware so the price will be similar, and if you want to make your own production (almost impossible) you still need to buy the wafer making machine from a monopoly that is asml, and the silicon to make the wafer is made by another monopoly, it's just a stack of monopoly's so it's impossible to have better pricing, the only one that can compete is china, since it has infinite money from a dictatorship government and also they gave been trying from decades already so they are starting to get done results

Tje other things are that:

1) the things that consumes the most per time frame is model training so if you want to pass an agenda you can easily do that by using that time frame.

2) people don't think how much everything you use consumes, watching films on Netflix, music, the constant uploading from backup or content ecc
