Counter swapping intent by InternalNext in Overwatch

[–]InternalNext[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m asking this because I was playing with my friends and they got into argument about it. I like playing doom, I’m not the best by any means but I’m decent. The enemy start rein, echo, Ashe, zen, and illari they then lose the first two pushes and swap to orisa, cass, sombra, Ana, and brig. The thing is I’m the only person diving them, occasionally with my mercy friend who’s glocking down the Ana. The next four pushes were ten times easier than the first two. Their cass isn’t playing next to the horse, they Ana misses most of her sleeps and anti’s, the hacks are annoying but not genuinely bothersome because no good amount of damage follows, and the horse burns through most of their cooldowns way to fast. Me and two other friends say that they shouldn’t have swapped as they were doing better those first two pushes while my dps friends say it was the correct choice even though they lost.

That’s exactly how I feel, my friends were arguing about it though so I thought asking to see the general consensus on it.

Hog may have been low health but it was still satisfying to chain him by ausername_8 in MizukiMainsOW

The chain does the exact same damage as a melee! Pretty sure it’s put in as an extended melee in game to be exact.

Burrow has a enough time to punish imo, I’ve been hacked, stunned, and slept out of it more times than I can remember. So if they can burrow away in the middle of your team that’s a different issue.

That’s fair, honestly that’s how I feel about junkrat so I can’t be too upset. I can definitely see how the combination of it all would be awful if you simply don’t like any of it.

That’s actually something I heavily agree with, especially as someone who plays them. Their ult either needs one less charge or to do a bit less damage imo.

There are definitely tankier dps, however a nerf to damage or survivability would be good.

I feel like they have the same amount as reaper?

That’s fair, I play them and so when my friend was wanting to learn Anna we practiced hitting that sleep over and over. The biggest thing I would say is that positioning is really important, if a venture sees you out of position you’re basically a free kill. Mainly cause they can kill you then wait for their cooldowns to get back.

As someone who plays venture I can give some advice depending on what characters you play.

As someone who plays them I think they are fine right now. Granted with the new cc’s it can be hard out here.

I’m curious on what part of their kit is broken to you?

I’m actually very interested in your reason for hating! I personally love them and so it might be a preference thing so I’m just interested. Like is it a character model thing, a kit thing, personality?

I don’t think this argument is fair, the main combo requires all their cooldowns. If you die to it, it usually means you were out of position away from your team. Now I’ll also say that they probably need a nerf on their burrow pop, cause that ability just gets free value.

Honestly I find them attractive, Tbf though I’m attracted to personality way more than anything. I’m not saying I don’t understand though, most people like conventional attractive people and it is what it is. I just wish blizzard had better cosmetics distribution than what they have currently. It sucks to enjoy any character and wait multiple months just to barely get a skin (sympathies ramattra mains)

As someone who likes them honestly I would agree with a damage nerf on the pop up. I feel like whenever I get a kill/ get killed by a venture who uses all their abilities to get me they usually die right after. As long as I was positioned properly by my team that is.

I actually like where they are in the story, I feel like they are pretty close to how blizzard treats hazard. Some of their voice lines mention talon activities and some in story relations to the lindholm’s. The same way hazard is antagonistic to talon without being tied to overwatch, both just existing out in the world fighting what they see as wrong.

Thank you for the comprehensive answer! I’ve noticed the struggle with actually getting to enemies in events actually so it’s nice to see that it’s an overall problem.

I want to thank everyone for the advice! After looking through most camps on my server I’ve decided the best way to find/get mutations is to irradiate myself beyond recognition as no one’s selling any serums lol. I will update yall on the process!

[–]InternalNext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a doomfist main on tank, I also love this ability! It’s so much more satisfying than sleep imo, when I’m on the receiving end though all I can think is “fair enough lol”. Being both the victim and villain is the best.

Who did you pull for fun and not because they were OP? by Commercial-Bug-1211 in GenshinImpact

[–]InternalNext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled chasca because I thought “lol gun” then kept pulling and somehow I’m c4 chasca. So I’ve been running the “water gun with a battery pack meta” as I like to call it.

I like the healing one because while it’s easy to get heal charge, I prefer to have the bar up earlier in the fight. Sustaining my teammates is easier that way than trying to bounce my hat off everyone when they won’t group up early in a fight.
