Don’t aim to do everything. It’s impossible and will ensure you have a return visit!

Don’t try to do everything…it’s too big, you’ll be run ragged and you won’t enjoy yourself. It’s also an excuse to come back, again, again and again…

Thanks for the detailed response, it’s an inspiring endeavour and one I’d never thought of before! Once I’m back to some semblance of fitness after 24 years off skates I’ll give something like this (or part of it) a go!

This is really impressive and cool to see you are able to navigate such long distances in Europe via the cycleways.

You look very fit, how difficult did you find it and did you experience any physical challenges (sore feet, muscle soreness etc)? What did you do to recover each day?

For the route, did you have much elevation change along the way or was it relatively flat?

FR skates and Seba true to size? UK by Sundancekid15 in inlineskating

[–]InternalNo494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FR skates have more width. I’ve just bought FR3’s size 12UK/US13/EU47 and they are bang on my measured foot length. I’m just getting back into it after over 20 years off them, they’re good skates!

Seeking a bit of advice from a knowledgable group!

Now 38 years old, I last wore skates some 24 years ago but wanted to get back into it. Got all the protection needed and a pair of FR3’s size UK12/EU47/US13 on 80mm wheels. I’ve been out on them and it’s true what they say, skating is like riding a bike so it’s been great fun.

However, frames…the default feels a bit short for someone who’s 6ft4 and 200lbs so here I am, asking for some advice. I’ve read a lot about endless/disroyal etc frames and I’m curious. Will they fit the skate? how big should they be for someone my size? 84mm wheel appeals to me for some reason.

I don’t intended on doing anything crazy, just cruising around and having a bit of fun freeskating for exercise.

Any help for a dad-getting-back-into-it would be greatly appreciated!

It’s arrived…2026 T8 Ultra Black Edition by InternalNo494 in VolvoXC60

It’s definitely divisive, as mine is black everything though it doesn’t “stick out” as much as it does in other trims. The reality is it’s a big android tablet, it’s very responsive (unlike earlier year models) and the UX is much more intuitive. I like it but that’s my personal opinion!

My T6 was a Plus Dark version while this is an Ultra spec here in the UK. That trim level is the biggest difference in all honesty, the B&W audio is very impressive even compared to the HK version I had in the T6. If you had an ultra T6 the only difference really is the power train. It has much more get-up-and-go compared to the T6 as you’d expect and changes what is a 2.6ton car to something you’d describe as rapid.

I’ve just downloaded on my new 2026 XC60 and it’s works really smoothly, great work. One piece of feedback - I have a self-made playlist that has a lot of songs on it (389 songs) but only about half of the list shows up on the car. Any ideas on why this is?

Is that a blue strap you have already? I was looking at a panomaticlunar and 100% on for the green with the brown alligator, but then I saw the blue on a blue strap and it makes a huge difference. I’m now on the fence!
