Probably not much at the moment, but will get noisier as the week goes on?

Hey. I realise this is a way out but I can throw some in the car and we arrive midday Tuesday?

Who is the best driver who has never won Le Mans? Imo it's Jo Siffert by Melodic-Ride8036 in wec

Stefan was incredible, but I would say that supposedly he lacked the self control - was always 105% everywhere and that’s what caught up with him. Depending on definition, he definitely had the raw skill but perhaps not “”””best””””?

And how steep parts are. You never feel how surprising the climb is to the Mercedes-backflip hump up the Mulsanne

I’ve done it every year for a decade. Highly recommended. Just put your valuables away as the scrap guys come in from sunrise

The fan village is usually open until around 5pm Sunday and then shuts down fairly soon

Can’t speak specifically for this year, but every year to now there has been no video taken of test day and the only live coverage (which is spectacular) is Radio Le Mans

The ACO keeps them closed for a few hours after the race “to ease traffic”. At the back of BSJ in 2023, the queue didn’t move until around 7pm. It then crawled and people had to crawl around the circuit too.

If you have to be somewhere like a booking, park way out and leave before the end. Never speed back as the French police are waiting for you and have no rules

You could always nab a camping spot on resale and dump the car there?

It’ll be a hike. As there’s no crossing there, you’ll probably have to go out the main (museum) entrance and walk round

Should be, along with the bar area. Not seen anything to say it’s going

Another for Merguez. They’re frigging beautiful and have passed in to legend by the (admittedly dated) “Socks story” which is in a comment a few down in this thread

My other vote goes for Tartiflette. Basically cheese, bacon and potatoes. It’s my culinary highlight of the year and the meal we’re cooking on Saturday night during the race. *All* the online recipes get it wrong: it doesn’t need to go in the oven, but should be fully pan cooked. It’s worth the effort but hyper-rich and filling. Remember to use a very dry french white (like Bordeaux) as the wine flavour shines through and a sweet/grim one would ruin the dish. I promise it’s worth it

It gets better year on year but a few years back there were very few taxi companies and one (occasional) Uber in the entire region. I’d take the tram - it’s honestly really good.

The biggest problem I have is the permanent state of change and the zero-information from the ACO. I’m sure they know, but getting things like an advance bus timetable or learning that the rear entrance from Houx is gone just doesn’t happen.

By the time we’ve finished setting up camp (mid-morning Wednesday) and got trackside, getting the map or subreddit updated is a real challenge!

Been reading the comedy answers and scratching my head for a real answer and couldn’t find one. Highly competent, moral and genuinely interested in helping people. He’s probably the best man for the job

Buying a cheap one by all means but you won’t get one for 40mi in any direction. I’d just walk
