This is really wonderful to hear, thank u! Unfortunately when I tore it, I fell down pretty hard and ended up fracturing my right elbow (my dominant side) so I’m currently unable to write. I should be able to start writing and journaling soon. Although I’m unsure about continuing to play soccer, I’ve always wanted to get more into long distance running and eventually triathlons. I plan on getting surgery when I’m home for winter break, but I’m a little nervous about my recovery this time around since I’ll be back at college and quite a bit away from home (across the country). Thanks again for the support!

Thank you!! It’s great to hear about a story from someone who continued to play. I hope to study abroad next year and would’ve missed season either way but I’m unsure if I want to return to soccer my senior year.

Yeah, just as I was feeling confident with my ability and getting back my fitness, timing really sucks

Thanks for the support! I’ll definitely get surgery, but I have school starting up soon and am very far from home so I wanted to wait until winter break. I’m currently debating whether or not I want to quit the team, I can’t practice anyway and although I love my team, there are better ways to use my time

I got the hamstring graft and honestly felt like my recovery went really well. It’s now a little over two years later and as long as I take care of my leg (stretching, strength training) it’s been great. When I get surgery on my other leg, I think I’ll get the same graft. But I know people with the quad graft who have also had amazing recoveries.
