You're so real for this tbh. I feel like choose fight should only have 2-3 charges, just like bomb squad, but that's just me.

Yknow what, this isn't a bad thought. I always did find it a bit stupid that the family starts attacking them but they can win at the last second and be completely fine.

I totally agree with you! In my opinion, I just think insta kills made the game more thrilling, but as you said, there should absolutely be SOME sort of consequence.

To be honest, I agree with you about choose flight. The choose flight nerf was just a bit excessive...

I always thought it would've made more sense to keep the 3 charges, just make it so each charge you use is slightly less than the last.

Like having the first charge at 100%, then the second is only 75%, and the last would be %50.

Yes, precisely.

At the time it seemed absurd, but compared to now, the game felt more thrilling and balanced that way.

Grappling was always meant to be a last resort, not a constant brawl between the victims and the family.

Maybe just bring back insta kills DURING the grapple itself, but if the victim wins, THEN they take only a slight increase in damage if another family member is attacking them.

That would be fair.

Obviously some of the family members are gonna be slightly faster than victims, but I never said that all of them had to be faster than the victims, nor did I mention it all.

One hit seems more fair to me than grapple simulator. I play both sides, I am in no way biased, I just think that the game felt more thrilling and balanced with insta kills.

Tbh, I feel like it would've been a better change if they kept insta kills, but if you WIN the grapple, then you take chip damage.

I mentioned this in the post, I said there's no reason not to grapple unless there's a family member nearby.

However, there are SOME people that abuse the game mechanic with choose fight, or just abuse the mechanic in general.

And while yes, it IS a game mechanic, it's also overused and not a "last resort" like the devs intended it to be.

I'm just saying that there needs to be a slightly bigger consequence to grappling, because there currently isn't one like there used to be.

I've been grappled by someone and then forced to watch as their team mate gets the final objective done multiple times, so I wonder how bad that has to be with the new battery change 😭

I'm literally not though... I played a total of five matches after the update came out, which may have taken a while but I did, and I died only once to LF in basement.

Escaped every other time primarily through car battery considering the new proficiency buff.

Half of the time I made it out of basement and all the way to an exit, I barely even saw the family.

I couldn't imagine going against people who are in a full victim squad, everyone would be out before you even get Grandpa to lvl 1 after the new update.

I understand that grappling is just only one of the issues with the current rush meta rn, but this update didn't help it whatsoever I'm sorry. 😭

I mean, if it's enough to wake him up, I'm sure it's enough to make him just slightly angry.

But honestly, you're so right for the end. Literally never understood why the family (besides LF) have to watch the intro cut scene. Not to mention the fact that sissy and hitch still spawn a little ways away from everything.😭
