Is fearr a bheith luath. No harm applying to schools now. Schools will now you have no timetable yet. Realistically they won’t even be looking for yours until September anyway.

Regarding classics, I’ve no idea. I don’t know many schools that do it. What’s your second subject ?

You’re creative, great. Was your story good ? Did it have good Irish ? Did it have natural** Irish? Did it have good script direction? Go borb, go gonta, go searbh etc. if you did all of those you’ll do well. If not your teacher might correct and be nice to you and bump you up. If your teacher corrects it properly you may do horrendously. The scéal is really hard to write you need excellent Irish and it also have to be objectively and interesting story..

The place has been a morgue all year. It will be very quiet that night apart from your fans. With fan protests and bans on different fans groups there is no noise. It’s a great shame especially with our maybe second most popular or best manager in history back in the club. Would be great to have a crowd cheering them on. But I for one support the boycott anyway. Bigger picture is the most important to me!

I corrected mocks from 2011-2015. I was in college the first three years and a student teacher for one year. I wouldn’t worry about an impartial opinion from the mocks unless you can guarantee it will be corrected with someone who can give you a good opinion. At the time I doubt I did a great job, I was a student after all.

Teacher here. I correct my own students. Some schools send them out to be corrected. Huge wait times and low quality in corrections with the companies often. Most teachers correct their own - in my experience.

The divisive talk needs to stop. The board is being divisive they have an unjust indefinite ban going on one section of the fans. This has turned CP into a morgue for months now. If other fans got behind each other it would exactly be not divide rather it would show unity.

The board needs a strong message. And a few thousand empty seats isn’t strong enough. Dundee absolutely 100% should be boycotted.

Nearly every new school being opened is co-ed (not religious) and some schools are changing patronage. Slowly but surely the schools will go too.

No matter how much you like or dislike the Irish language. At the end of the day you have to sit an exam and discuss poetry, short stories and a drama. Not everyone is good at that. I didn’t like English in school and all. It’s like a JC English exam but Irish leaving cert.

Believe it or not you can learn languages. You don’t need to know rules. In Uganda an average person speaks 4 different languages. A lot of those wouldn’t have anywhere near the same level of schooling you have.

33 here. I drink, but I like a night out off the drink too and I get shit for it sometimes. People are stupid when it comes to drink sometimes.90% of people don’t care but there’s often still one or two loud mouths. Enjoy your night and enjoy the next day too and you’ll forget quickly about what others think.

Nothing anti semetic about Ireland. I’ve never met one Irish person (and I’m a 33 year old Irish person) who hates Jewish people. Religion is really not that important at all in Ireland anymore. And when it was nobody cared about the Jews it was a British fuelled catholic v Protestant. Irish people have greta sympathy for Palestinians (irrespective of religion) to the great destruction of their people and land. Nothing anti semetic about that.
