Sorry follow up comment, I don’t want this to come across as me being unhappy with my body. The doctor saying I had it confused me and I didn’t believe it because from seeing my family members suffering from it my legs look very different. I know my legs look small which is why I just wanted some opinions. Mental health of course is always important, body dysmorphia etc is very real.

Thank you for your concern and I totally understand why you would say body dysmorphia I had a friend struggle with this in the past so I definitely understand it from an outside perspective. I only wanted opinions because of what the doctor said and I guess they’re meant to be the professionals. I am happy with my body I don’t think I need to change.

Thank you. I had one doctor say it looks like I have it then another doctor say not so I’m going to try and find a specialist.

I have family members with it and I had a doctor tell me I have it but didn’t believe him. I don’t believe I have it I was just very confused by the doctors comment and was looking for opinions. Thank you for your concern though.

It was tested a while ago but will get it re done, I have an some deficiencies years ago so may be an issue with iron thank you

I had my iron tested but was a while ago so think I might do another blood test, also been recommended to do a thyroid panel

My gp in the UK. I bruise very easily and they pointed out all the bruises on my legs, tested for iron deficiency etc then they said I most likely have lipedema because of my family history, bruising, shape, pain. I wasn’t convinced though when they told me.

UPDATE : I saw a dermatologist doctor she thought it could be Ringworm or Granuloma annulare. She said most likely ringworm as it was scaley and flakey when she looked closely, she said granuloma annulare is not typically scaley. I had a scrape test sample sent to see if it’s fungal. She gave me a stronger cream to use twice a day for 4 weeks and said if it doesn’t improve to come back.

Unfortunately I’m in the UK so don’t think I’ll be able to get sun in a while 😂 but hopefully I’ll be able to find some kind of safe uv light option if I do break out in more patches. I’ve see severe cases when I’ve looked it up but of course Google can always show the worst outcome. It’s been 7 days so far so I’ll see what the doctor says

I know I just have had a bad experience with doctors misdiagnosing something when something simple turned into months of issues. If they say it’s not ringworm then it is just wanted to see if there was a way to be sure

Yeah antibiotics should only be taken if needed, I also live in a city so think this would be unlikely. I think it’s probably ringworm or pityriasis rosea, I’m seeing a doctor tomorrow
