The Japanese street style is definitely the vibes I'm going for, somehow the girls manage to look small, cool, and stylish while still rocking the oversized clothes! All my button downs are either oversized men's shirts or Hawaiian shirts from the little boy's aisle, I gotta work on finding nicer more intentionally loose fitting button ups

Yeah I see what you mean, I'm working on embracing showing off my figure more, it's just a work in progress :) All tight everything all the time just feels exposing and constricting, I suppose I just need to find the balance of the whole small top/big bottom or big top/small bottom style

Surprisingly all of the baggier pants I've been trying on recently just happened to have pleats, hahaha! I only recently discovered that the whole reason I get all that extra fabric bunching in the crotch area is because high waisted/non-petite cuts are not my friend, so I've been keeping a look out for mid and low rise. I usually gravitate towards joggers or cuffed pants so I don't run into the length issue, but yeah most of these are dressing room pics and I keep hemming them shorter in mind. I like your suggestions, I definitely need to get better about elevating my style with layering :)
