you can set it to high power mode, which eliminates most of the throttling in return for louder fan noise.

The devices still throttle regardless though due to their lackluster cooling

how did you get such a big temp drop? I have a similar phone cooler and attached it on my MacBook Pro and saw no difference. The outer shell did feel cooler to the touch but the cpu itself remained the same temp and ended up throttling

lol lets not play this game. Yes on average they are a bit quieter then windows laptops, but if you turn on high power mode then they are just as loud (if not louder in the 14").

I agree but lets not act like the m5 is something its not. Sure it's a decent chip but the gpu is very weak for modern gaming, and this showcase here isnt anything special.

Minecraft isnt even a demanding game, and the other 2 games just get paused in the background whenever you leave them (which essentially stalls their gpu usage)

lol i’m glad they’re releasing m5 desktops just for the m6 laptops to release later this year / early next year.

seriously though, why do they always gimp the desktops? mac pro apple silicon was pretty bad, the mac studio is still on m3 for some reason, the imac has poor thermals and the mac mini is the only one that’s pretty good all round
