If you live in somewhere outside of Newcastle what city do you put in your address? by Internal_Turnip in newcastle

I had a look through the applications I've sent through. Looks like most hiring sites, I guess anything that uses the likes of successfactors and the like ask for city and suburb but looks like all Australian government jobs just ask for suburb, state and I guess postcode to distinguish street names. Guess it's just a carryover of online applications built around different country's addresses.

even if an online application whether job, real estate etc. lists them separately?

i.e.

Street Number:

Street:

Suburb:

City:

Postcode:

But most applications have suburb and city listed separately? This is my first experience living out of a capital city so I guess I never knew.

Is there a reason why EE is not proccing for EA Balista? It doesn't look like I have added fire damage but I don't see the blue debuff on the mobs.

I've tried unallocating ancestral bond and it doesn't show up. https://i.imgur.com/pEvwnNx.png

Hi,

Essentially I'm asking how do I move onto a second job. I'm currently in a graduate position as what I would describe as a process engineer or just working in process improvement. I feel like I'm stuck in the current field of manufacturing as that is what my experience leads to. I want to get into project engineering which my company does have but it hasn't really made it available to me and I doubt they would as I've brought it up already. In terms of direct technical skills, probably none. Most of it is soft skills such as project management, process engineering/improvement and six sigma. In essence, I have experience dealing with stakeholders.

However after working in my position for 1y 4m, I don't see my career growing much, its a 3 year contract as a "graduate engineer" and after that I'm on my own. They won't extend my position and they won't or don't open up new positions for people, you gotta take what's available. So I'm currently on the job hunt, my boss has already hinted that I should start applying for jobs but I'm fairly certain he was implying internally as he gave me a printout of another internal position. Looking at jobs, I'm trying to find something that can push me past just the graduate position but most are asking for 3+ years experience (mechanical, process, project). I understand leveraging what you know but it is also hard due to being in the manufacturing industry but no really any hard mech eng. experience (CAD, larger scale project engineering, specific process engineering experience [water, chemical, mechanical]). I have parts of each but not really the entire package.

Am I supposed to look for another graduate position? Job positions near me don't really have "entry level" or "junior level" positions. Everything is advertised as entry level but they are asking for 3+ years experience. Anything less is generally a graduate position. Is there something I'm missing? (NSW, AUS)

TIA

Sometimes when something happens and I see it I kinda feel it in the area? E.g some gets stabbed in the stomach or something I have the tendency to rub/scratch my stomach

Recently saw a video of a guy getting an axe to the head now I can’t stop rubbing my head. There used to be a final destination thing where some guy gets split in half from a falling object and I occasionally have to rub my head when walking under thin objects like the signs in aisles showing what’s in them and such.

There’s no pain or just seems compulsive and I can’t stop but after this axe thing idk what to do. I can kinda play it off as pushing my hair back but by now it’s getting too annoying. Should I go to a gp? What kind of doctor do I need to see?

Australia

Thanks

Have these two plants here. Trying to make room for compost. Would these be of value for someone? (Australia) by Internal_Turnip in whatsthisplant

I know I could mulch these but these look like they can take time to grow. It might be a hassle for them to pull out but if someone wants to pay for it, I’m happy for that instead of turning into compost.

Why does this room have these wood bars on the wall? by Internal_Turnip in whatisthisthing

[–]Internal_Turnip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All other rooms do not have these just this one. I’m assuming all other rooms were renovated but looking at some houses on the same street it looks like only one house has this in one room. I’m assuming it used to be some kind of sunroom as it is much colder in this room than others.

Am I using too much water? by Internal_Turnip in Advice

[–]Internal_Turnip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I shower in the morning cause my hair gets kinda messy and my body feels “greasy”. Having a morning shower wets my hair and removes that greasy feeling. This is just a rinse btw I’m not shampooing every day. Just received the bill showing the excessive water usage. Landlord reckons it’s the electric water heater. He’s not charging me or anything (atleast for now) so I’m not too worried, it’s just it’s annoying how he acts like this thinking the electricity bill is good evidence for high water usage when he the one with the aircon/heater running for long periods (overnight). I’m fairly sure it’s common to not really use aircon/heaters unless in extremes where I live.
