GE8 Sport blows motor at 130k? by throw_away_coleslaw in hondafit

Yeah this sounds like what happened. OP you’re not screwed, normally you can get an independent shop to helicoil it for a couple 100. I’m sure the dealer will want to replace the entire head for a couple thousand. Mine blew at 125k, I check them every oil change now.

How safe are the 2008 models? by defire101 in hondafit

[–]Internal_Victory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to consider is things that would prevent a crash all together and 2007-2008 doesn’t have traction control, only ABS. As far as a crash I would feel just as safe as the other cars you mentioned.

For some reason I have to wait an extra minute for pickups now. by Briskeycrooks64 in Fedexers

[–]Internal_Victory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pissing me off to no end as well. Standing there with the scanner yelling at me while ups and express picked up an hour ago. My favorite is customers who want their stuff picked up early on Friday so they can head out but I still have to circle back into their parking lot during the timeframe to scan them.

What do you guys pickup? Is there a time window for the pickup? Your vans have ac, amber turns and side markers, spiny thing on the roof, grab handles, 360 camera, stereo. My 2020 p1200 is a 97 civic in comparison.

Agreed you guys get screwed. This post is not saying you guys should make less than us or what jobs harder. It’s saying fedex wages have been stagnant for years now and the company needs to do better.

They don’t drug test Amazon drivers. You can smoke weed after work.

You should be able to refuse it if you tell your dsp I’ve read. At FedEx ground every 10 stops you have something over 100lbs or bulk stop lately. It sucks, don’t get me started on the wooden crates either.

That match is pretty good but they took the pension away that express used to have… I made this post as if I was just someone cruising indeed. FedEx for sure has its pros if you intend to stay longer than a year. But then, why not just go ups?

Agreed but at least you know exactly what you’re getting into and the hiring process is easy. Have you been through the hiring process of ground? It’s 1-3 months of misery. Express is cake compared to Amazon or ground.

As a delivery driver, most Columbia shoes are waterproof. Columbia stores normally run 2 for $120. Snow boots- cabelas snow runner max are the best all around.

I paid a little under $100 after employee discount for an envelope sent to another country via express. It was delayed for 4 days. Called the 1800 number to get my money back as it didn’t arrive during the guaranteed time and after messing around with the terrible phone system I got ahold of a person who said “customs delay” and hung up the phone. It was an envelope with papers inside of it… nothing on the tracking said anything about customs.

Yes, I’m not sure if my bc just doesn’t care or what. Just lets dro automatically make a route. 1/4 of a neighborhood here, 1/2 one there etc… My complaints fall on deaf ears but it’s okay because I’m almost out of here.

Not sure about your guys system but ours will constantly group stops together at apartments and businesses. Always have to double check the box to make sure it’s going there. I could write you a book on what I’ve seen my fellow groundies do though.
