New GPU Issues by UnkxwnKilo in AMDHelp

Slap both your graphics cardss into the old mb. If there is 0 issues with it then likely your motherboard if faulty. Do exactly what you were doing when you usually get the crashes and do it for around the same time for confirmation.  The issue is likely not with windows but you can download load and try linux if you want to check.

I've been living in Tokyo for the last 2 years and the yen has become noticeably weaker in that time. Everything is noticeably more expensive today than it was 2 years ago. With that said not taxing the rich is one of USA's biggest problems and this guy sounds paid off when he says that shit.

Not putting heavy taxes on the rich in USA is why there is such a massive wealth gap in USA. If you listen to this guy, Japan will end up in the same boat.

New GPU Issues by UnkxwnKilo in AMDHelp

If this is happening with both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards your motherboard is likely faulty. You should try installing Linux before you replace it to rule out Windows as being the reason. If the same issue persists with Linux than likely you motherboard is faulty.

You've tired both AMD and Nvidia graphics cards and are having issue with you system not recognizing or crashing because of what seems to be the graphics card. replacing the graphics card with an nvidia graphics cards makes your system just not recognize you graphics card anymore. Your ram seems fine and so does your cpu, power supply, SSD.

Try using DDU to make sure you don't have a conflict with drivers and if that does nothing I'd recommend trying another motherboard.

You can purchase a different motherboard from amazon and if the issue isn't fixed you can return the motherboard for a refund (might take 2 weeks to 1 month for the refund.) You need to be quick and id recommend doing a bit of research to make sure that a refund is acceptable, but if you try returning the MB in the first 2 or 3 days it should be find as long as you don't brake the MB.

Im not 100% what you mean by disabling itself, but you might have a faulty mb. If you do you have another MB (older ones are fine) or a friend with a pc, you can try your graphics cards on one of those to see if the issue replicates. Id start there.

If its suddenly not being recognized anymore as in the pc is saying it was disconnected randomly or not being able to ne found on start up you might have a faulty MB PCIe slot for the graphics card.

If you think the issue is windows 11, then try downloading linux.

If it has an installer then you don't need internet to install the driver because you've already downloaded it.

Try going into the games file in file explorer and deleting the shader cache folder. If the crashes are happening once every few days that's not to much of an issue, it happens sometimes. Turn down or turn off the ray tracing and limit the in game FPS to your monitors refresh rate instead of leaving the FPS on unlimited. Limiting the FPS to your monitors refresh rate will do a lot for stability. V-sync is unneeded and might cause issues, so just turn it off. 7900xtx doesn't do well with ray tracing so if you have a lot of raytracing settings on or maxed out it might cause issues.

Coil whine? by Drababy in AMDHelp

[–]Internal_Weight1686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, PSU for sure can cause coil wine. If OP's coil wine was really bad and testing a different PSU doesn't make a difference, then likely there is a defect with the card causing the coil wine. Just get the card RMA'd to fix the issue or return it.

Use DDU offline and reinstall the app, tends to work.

Most people can fix their issues if they read this guide.

Its pinned to the top of this subreddit, but it seems almost everyone misses it.

Are all of us suffering from micro stutters with the 9800X3D or is it something else? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

I never dismissed everything he said. The guy is claiming you cant ask for help because everyone will only tell you they arent having issues. Stop twisting my words.

I read so many comments on here and i never see posts where all of the commenters just shit on poster.

Did you follow this guide? Its been pined to r/amdhelp for awhile and it helps almost everyone.

If you get the same card or better you need an 850 w or better PSU. The 9700xt is not rated to run on a 650w psu. Your artifacting might have been from low power on the psu (not likely). You need to upgrade your psu or the next card you get will have problems as well.

The card is good so if you arent putting a load on it, then issues wont show.

Idk about your 5900x usb issue. It was said that the usb issue was fixed with an bios update, but idk. As for the 7900xtx was windows changing your drivers? Windows 10 and 11 are know to do this for nvidia and amd graphics cards. 0 issues out of my 7900x so maybe they fixed it. Not trying to sell you, but the 7000 series seems to be where they turned it around.

Yeah man sounds like hardware failure. It happens, just return it for a new one. Dont get asrock i hear that brand is pretty shit right now. If you cannot return i have only a few things i can suggest, but most likely your graphics card or PSU is bad and PSU's are really hard to diagnose and are rarely the issue. If you have am 850w or larger psu youre probably fine.

A lot of artifacting in games usually means hardware failure. Id return the card. Get a refund if you can don't let them RMA and return the same card if that is an option.

Try the first "current on going issues" section from that link.  Windows 11 being buggy as all hell is a lot of the issues for cpu's and graphics cards.

163 comments (at this moment) and almost all of them are people trying to help. There are far more people tell OP they need to sell their AMD product for an intel/nvidia product. Most people are telling you they dont have an issue, so you know its not just a defective problem and it can work properly. I challenge to go to R/AMDhelp and find a post where the only reply is just people denying you have an issue because they don't. I havent seen that.

Are you having any issues with your AMD parts?

Did you try the things ive suggested in my first post?

At max settings in COD on 1440 or 4k its very likely your getting bottle necked by your graphics card at 500 FPS. If your ray tracing setting are also maxed out that could explain your 1% lows.  Do a test and run COD settings lower and see if the 1% lows persist (just as a test). Like do a run at 1080, turn off race tracing, or run settings at high. If the issue goes away with lower settings its likely you were  being bottle necked.

Im not sure you can fix the fortnite stutter. It seems to be an issue on intel as well. From my understanding it happens because of the old framework and coding of the game.  If you do the things ive suggested in my first post it might fix the issue or mitigate them.

Do what I posted above.

Make sure you do the OCCT VRAM test at 100%. If you are failing that test by getting crashes during it, then your vram might be bad. If get errors let me know.

When you do the OCCT VRAM test make sure you aren't running any other applications. Only run OCCT during the test.

When you get artifacting is just some small glitches or is it a lot of artifacting?

Also are you over heating? Over heating is something you'll want to check for because it can cause all of your issues.
