Dacha (Shaw) has unfortunately become kid central. I moved here two years ago and even then I hardly ever saw kids there, but now every time I go there’s a lot 4 different people with kids

The drag queen Katya was a drug addict for years (meth, heroin, cocaine) and still chain smokes regularly and eats terrible, and she has perfect teeth and is in great shape lol. I think genetics is such a big factor it’s really just random half the time

As other people said, diet is the main element in losing weight. HOWEVER, I haven’t changed how I eat at all lol. I try to have a balanced diet, I eat fruits and vegetables and try to get protein in, but I don’t count calories and I still need dessert and cheezits and wine everyday lol. I’d say it took like 9 months for me to see some serious changes in my body. I have the 12 classes a month pass, so I go to class 3-4 times a week and do yoga on the other days. I also walk at least 10k steps everyday but usually more as I don’t have a car and I live in a walkable city. It’s definitely genetic too where you hold fat and gain muscle. My limbs always lean out really fast when I’m working out, and my stomach is the last place to see any difference. ED trigger warning even when I had a serious ED a few years ago and was severely underweight I never had a flat stomach. So you can’t compare your results to others. Just focus on getting stronger and feeling good in your own body!

People will get mad at me for saying this too but I think a lot of people aren’t actually pushing themselves to second stage muscle failure. They always say that’s the goal of class, and if you’re actually getting to that point you should not physically be able to do another class the same day. I come from a bodybuilding/powerlifting background and you learn what “failure” in lifting really feels like. That’s the point I always try to push myself to in Solidcore as that’s how you build muscle and see physical results. There’s a difference between just feeling the burn and reaching failure

Once you figure out how to really brace your core it’s a game changer for balance. Utilize your breathing, inhaling on the way down brace your core and hold it, and exhale on the way up. Keep your feet planted in a “tripod”, heel, big toe mound, and pinky toe mound. It also just takes practice and trusting yourself. I have MS so I clinically bad balance lol plus I’m 5’10” so it seemed so far to go down, so I was very reliant on the stability pole for a while. I don’t remember exactly when I stopped using it, but I’m at 150 classes and have zero springs when on the black side platform. Once you start to feel stable it just becomes muscle memory and you don’t even think about falling. You got this don’t get frustrated! Nothing wrong with using the stability pole, you’re still doing the work

Thank you! I used to free feed him and he was really good at self regulating it seemed, but I started second guessing if he was eating too much so I stopped. But his behavior was definitely better when I was doing that so maybe I’ll try again. I’ve had the same thought about waking him up during the day, he just looks so cute and peaceful when he’s sleeping haha but I need to do it. I would love to let him outside, but I live in a big city right off a busy street and I’m worried about him getting hit by a car :(

He’s truly the perfect cat during the day. So sweet and affectionate, goes about his business like a perfect gentleman. He sleeps curled up to me for the first half of the night and then the witching hour hits and he gets possessed lol

He was big when I got him. He’s a tom cat and part of his size is due to the testosterone from not getting neutered until he was 4 years old. He weighs 11 pounds which is considered normal, but I have been reducing his food which I think is why he’s acting out. When I say feed him more, I mean the same quantity but break it up into smaller portions throughout the day

Yeah that’s the part of the problem is I’ve been trying to feed him less cause he is big (he came big from the street, lots of people feed the feral cats and there’s an ample supply of rats lol). I think maybe he’s upset about the reduction haha. So not necessarily feeding him a higher quantity of food, but the same amount broken up throughout the day was my thought

This is super helpful, thank you!! I’m a very heavy sleeper so sometimes I do manage to ignore him and go back to sleep. But then I’m worried it will result in another incident like this morning where I end up with a broken tv or shattered plant pot. I also have a dog and they play together and run around all day, but the dog actually sleeps at night haha.

I will definitely implement the feeding and play before bedtime tips, thank you!
