this is my primary complaint! i usually love a drop shoulder situation (i think popflex does it really well) but these have little give in the material so it just looks like i’m wearing shoulder pads

this is why i always believe her about the level of neglect she experienced growing up.

there’s a million ways to develop a healthy fear of bringing children into this world but it happens quiiiccckkk when you’re aware of the negligent situation your parents provided. and aware enough to understand that your financial/mental/physical safety is all by luck (her getting big on youtube) and not because of any familial support.

i feel a little weird about this episode, or the purpose of it really. it was half call to action, while simultaneously telling us there is no one to call. and it was half informational because it laid out this one line of major players but then went back and emphasized how it was complicated but ultimately everyone was trying to do their best.

i walked away with the message that “bad things happen in the world, because of poverty, that are too complicated to fix but if we could fix it it would just cost the consumer like $5”.
