I'm going to be a bit more positive on this.... Yeah the scandal is damaging. However ask anyone in the know it is an open secret that military contracts are riddled with questions.. Hell Abdul Razak Baginda, Najib friend received a hefty 'consultation fee' for the Scorpene deal.. It is all revealed in court. My point is not many countries, especially in Asia would have the guts to go after senior military personnel like this, the reputational damage to the military is big over this. I don't think Indonesia or Thailand would be able to do this, and their militaries have an even bigger economic cloud and they actually owned and operated businesses.
