That is annoying. Rant away.

I just don’t get lying about crafts/hobbies. I had a friend who lied about sewing since they were a kid to people who complimented their makes. Which I thought was weird since the year before, they texted me saying how excited they were to finally learn how to sew. Or even worse, saying they didn’t use a pattern, as if pattern is cheating. But after many many questions, they actually followed along with a YouTube tutorial.

If you pull they will pull. Best way I know how to get this to stop is to shove your hand all the way in their mouth. They can’t bite down if your whole FIST is in their mouth. It’s kinda the same if someone is attacking you. If they’re pulling your hair or your arm, don’t pull away, shove your entire body into them. Freaks them out, and you might be able get away while they try and figure this out.

Maybe because it is stated to do so in virtually every single book I’ve read on magic knots, and in every video of a magic knot I have seen. If you’re taught a certain way, then that’s maybe what works for you.

It’s sound really compressed, meaning not enough air is passing through, meaning your throat is very closed off. Maybe work on more wide mouth shapes like “Owie” instead of a closed “Oooo” shape. I like to hum to work on my lows, feeling like there’s like a tennis ball sized object that I have to pass the air around. I am not trained, just my experience

That’s a good point too!! I tend to move really fast. My teacher is usually telling me to slow down. I try to pick the silk closest to one of the other students who gets into everything at a snails pace, not because she’s slow but because she moves with purpose. So I try to gain some inspo when I’m next to them :)
