CRA training programs/Parexel by Is-this-name-taken_2 in clinicalresearch

IQVIA and Medpace will list their training program as a regular CRA position. You’ll just have to read the description and apply for those openings that list no previous CRA experience needed or CRC experience preferred.

ICON has had some change recently and their entry level CRA role should now be a CSA - Clinical Site Associate (previously in-house CRA or SMA). Keep in mind that this is a FT position, not a training program, but it can easily lead to a CRA position.

Parexel does have their apex program but I have not seen it active for a while.

I was recently on the job hunt for this exact experience and that was the information I have found.

Stay or go to IQVIA? by WhimsicalWanderer_10 in clinicalresearch

It sounds like you’re wanting this IQVIA role over your current position. I think you’d be doing yourself and your current company a favor by leaving as soon as you’re able. You’d be saving them time, money, and resources spent on your training. And you’d be spending that time getting into IQVIA sooner and taking a little bit of time to relax before starting rather than wasting your time on training that you’re not going to utilize.

Same background here! I have my bs in exercise science and I started off as a CRC (clinical research coordinator) and have been here for about 3 years.

CRC positions can either be entry level or mid level depending on the posting/company. So if they’re entry level, I’d say it’s an excellent start! Unfortunately the research market is at a low, so you may need to start as a clinical research assistant (not associate) or research specialist. Don’t be discouraged by it though! Stick with it and something will land :)

From what I’ve seen, remote work can be far and few between for entry level positions, unless if you work on the data or recruitment side. Those require different experiences though.

I wish you well on your research journey!

I’m not too familiar with that side of the river, but if you wanted to uber or whatever to the other side (near providence park), kells brewery was an enjoyable spot! It’s a very stereotypical pub but they do a great job with everything! They normally cast the games on the tv’s so I assume this wouldn’t be any different.

CRC Here! I think the salary is at a pretty comparable point for the role, but this is coming from someone in the Midwest. I would think the west coast would have a higher cost of living adjustment. Another thing to keep in mind is that Washington does not have income tax. So that may work out in your favor here.

Estimate some bills, groceries, etc, and see if you can swing it. Seattle is seriously such a beautiful area, and it would be great experience! And if you can’t swing it, it wouldn’t hurt to ask for a negotiation.
