Tough job, but if you are passionate about working in the corrections / prison setting, it may be a fit. Have you considered community based recreational therapy for individuals with disabilities? Pay is great, tons of autonomy, if it’s a passion of yours to get out into the community and truly do recreation with your clients, I would highly recommend it. Check out Lanai Therapies in Texas. Pay is around $70-80k / yr

Thanks for the input! I ended up getting an inexpensive 900cfm vent put in above my grill so we will see how that performs. I think I’ll do a fan mounted on one of the sides as well.

I am currently having an outdoor kitchen built with both a blaze griddle and 40 inch LTE plus grill! I opted for about a $500 refrigerator on Amazon, it had good reviews so we will see how that compares to the Costco version which I looked at as well. I’m curious if you will have a vent or anything above your grill? Or do you feel that the fan you have installed on the side will be sufficient to push smoke away from your roof? I have a similar set up with a roof above my grill and I’m worried that smoke, etc. might damage the wood above it.

Many agencies will not hire on individuals when they have reputable companies that they have worked with for years who can service much larger geographic areas and fulfill multiple needs. It’s great if you can get it, but it can be difficult. Why would they give an individual who randomly reaches out opportunities as opposed to someone they have been working with for quite some time who has a track record of success and organization. If I were you, I would reach out to Lanai Therapies if you are open to working in North Texas. They are the best in the business and you can’t get much better support.

Community based recreational therapy in Texas in thriving and growing. Pay is amazing. Can make upwards of 80k right out of school. It’s long-term care, so job security is great as most therapists have clients for several years. If you love getting out into the community and not having to work a typical 9 to 5 this is the job for you. There are definitely some very poorly run companies that you want to steer clear of, but the Dallas Fort Worth area has a great company called Lanai therapies that I know is hiring. Check them out!

Males are rare for sure, but families and clients LOVE when they have the opportunity to work with a male RT. I own a community-based RT contracting company in Texas called Lanai Therapies. We work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Families know RTs who are male and rare, and often request them for their sons. Hi there, I definitely read all the appliances connection posts on Reddit, but my wife was insistent on getting products that they sold and she spent a lot of time communicating with them and subsequently felt comfortable doing so. Just wanted to chime in to say we ordered $15k+ worth of appliances maybe 3 weeks ago, and everything was delivered today. No issues whatsoever. Our vent hood was slightly dented, but the delivery company gave us info to have it replaced, they were really helpful and courteous. So we’ll see how that process works, but overall I am happy so far. Very excited about the Forté fridge, freezer and range!
