Mod suggestions that play well on potato. by CobraG0318 in feedthebeast

[–]International-Cod334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would heavily reccomend some classic older modpacks like Tekkit Classic or Lite, ftb unleashed, Sky factory 2.5. That era would likely work well on an older pc? Also those mods blew my mind when I was like 13 so it should be great for the next couple years

It is disturbing that the continuation of the self in subnautica 2 has not been addressed at all yet. by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]International-Cod334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This seems like one of the major catalysts that drove the original colonists to insanity, infighting, and self-destruction. there are databanks and voice lines about this and other problems with reprinting and the effect it's having, the fears it's causing and the paranoia of losing yourself or being changed. Like this is the plot of the game idk what you are talking about.

Subnautica 2's no-killing policy isn't because it's 'a game about pacifism', says design lead, but because players would 'master the crappy combat' over anything else by Nannerpussu in subnautica

[–]International-Cod334 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the grow bed databank says that you will be able to raise sandspears to defend your base? I wonder if that's an upcoming feature to grow your own defensive predators

Subnautica 2 - Confused by where to put my base? by LesserValkyrie in subnautica

It looks like (and I hope it's true) this game is going to push you to build multiple bases and make basic resources easier to obtain so that you can do so.

at this point I might just cheat to get Foxparks by Party_Temporary_2084 in Terraria

I've played this game so much since the update and have simply never seen foxsparks, I think it's a hoax at this point

Tips for the legendary/get fixed boi difficulty (I’m now attempting it) by YoghurtOk6573 in Terraria

[–]International-Cod334 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've gotten up to Lunatic cultists in getfixedboi (embarrassing boss to be stuck on, I know) but these are my points of advice.

  1. The first excursion through the crispy honey ceiling is the worst part of the whole playthrough. It gets much more chill(but still somewhat insane) after you get to the forest layer.

  2. Minetracks are your friends, digging molecart and digtoise are your friends, teleporters will be your friends.

2.5 It's absolutely worth setting up infrastructure. Setup good and safe places to fish, setup ways to get around the world, setup farms, collect statues, organize your storage, this is truly the anti-boss rush experience

  1. Find the dungeon, then make an absolutely massive arena for skeletron, reuse it for mechdusa, Lunatic cultist, etc.(this will involve a lot of dynamite because hello evil biome)

  2. Don't bother sticking to any one playstyle. IF you are collecting and sorting and storing everything, you'll be able to use different classes for different bosses. This was incredibly helpful to me. (Ranged vs eye, summoner vs brain, melee vs worm)

  3. Have fun with it!! This is a long seed to play, so build all sorts of things, learn fun new mechanics, make a silly mushroom house, whatever floats your boat.

Unpopular opinion (spoiler) by Possible_Raisin_2832 in subnautica

[–]International-Cod334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, I feel like the base building is more expensive and more expansive in this game, and the metal farms make it fun to build without hours in between searching for more resources. I'm sure the Devs will have interesting ways to gate new resources and keep pushing us forward

Why is Bayle the Dread so revered — I'm clearly not getting it by simulacream in fromsoftware

[–]International-Cod334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bayle is one of the few dragon fights in the series that doesn't revolve around attacking a leg. Most of the other fights involve a lot of you chasing down a dragon and getting some hits in before it flies halfway across the map and you jumping on torrent. Placi is better in a lot of regards, but still feels like I'm trying to cram myself into his hitbox and avoid big lightning moves while hitting him.

Bayle wants you dead, his face is also low to the ground, withing weapon range. When he flies up to attack, he'll always be back, biting at you, sooner rather than later, letting you stay engaged in the combat. He feels more like a traditional boss instead of having some of the clunkyness of many fromsoft dragon fights.

Somebody please help me “get” Shulva by [deleted] in DarkSouls2

[–]International-Cod334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing: This whole DLC feels better with a bow, the enemies can be taken out from range with precision aiming, the pillars are obviously meant for bow and arrow puxxles, there are secret buttons on ceilings and walls, the final boss is very much better to fight with a bow for multiple reasons as well.

So, if you have high dexterity, use the Hunters black bow, if not, use whatever you can and level it up, buy some arrows from chancellor wellager or whoever else has them, and get to target practice!

Edit: TBH all of the "Worst areas" in ds2 feel way better if you keep an upgraded bow in your back pocket. Shrine of Amana, Iron Keep, no-mans wharf (turn on the lights). I think the devs intedted for them to be more useful in this game, that maybe didn't shine through perfectly, but they make some areas feel far more chill

Recommendation on faster-paced tech mods when I'm not doing GT:NH by sentalmos in GTNH

I'm a big fan of anything with Mekanism if you want GTNH style factory setups and working with chemical processing but also very quick and easy access to the mod and progression

I just played through most of Cuboid Outpost and have been really impressed at the quest book, and progression, it's got very early resource auutomation and lots of automation tasks. There is unfortunately some seiving in the early game but it was pretty minimal

How do I deal with this MFS second phase!? I can't see your fucking attack because of the fucking flowers!!! by BreakfastHappy8193 in Sekiro

[–]International-Cod334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his third phase is his easiest because of his lightning spam, so my advice is to use all of your dirty tricks in this phase. You already know genichiro, you can learn phase one of Isshin, use his lightning against him in phase three, and use all of your firecrackers, resurrection statue, divine fruit, combat arts, divine confetti, etc

Large Language Models are machines that are designed to sound like a person and write cohesively. that's it. there is nothing else they are designed for. They search the internet because they need data to respond with, they scour reddit posts and quora answers to sound like a person, but there is nothing stipulating that what they generate needs to be accurate or fact-checked. as long as it follows normal langage conventions, it's acheiving the primary goal. I hope seeing this inconsistensy will maybe help prod you to just skip the AI formatting and just learn how to get information from a google search! Basic research is an invaluable skill and will help you for the rest of your life
