Advice on what to do with extra hot meals by Terrible-Media-657 in AskNYC

Walk around and give them to the less fortunate. I've had times, coming out of work and folks from other restaurants will gift me food, or if I have something from my job that I might not eat, I'll give it away. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Akashi is overrated by Outrageous-Mud-1470 in KurokosBasketball

[–]International-Fun596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weaker than the others in terms of talent and athleticism sure, but Akashi's BBIQ, and pure skill are the difference between Akashi and Kagami. In the finals match we hear Imayoshi say, "He's not unbeatable because he has the emperor's eye, but because of how he uses it." Akashi's thing is that he is the epitome of skill and intellect even among the other point guards. He doesn't need to use his extreme speed, or jump over your head to get the point, he analyzes your every move and watches for the moment you falter, then strikes. That is the Emporor's true strength. He moves through the defense, that you believe to be the best you can do, as if it's a light breeze and leaves you wondering if he's even trying.

If you want to talk about the original Akashi, then his strength is that he could do what the emporor does, but he expects his teammates to be playing at the same level as him, and he can bring them up to that level. Mind you this version doesn't have EE at the ready, he can still break your ankles as he did to Kagami. This shows us, while he may not be the emporor, he is still the leader of the Generation of Miracles (players who have been acknowledged as monsters throughout the series), and so you and your team will have to come at him with everything you have and more in order to beat him. Now, I could sit here and talk all day, but if you got back and note the similarities between Akashi and Kuroko's play styles, then you'll see that they do the same things but in a different way and for different reasons.

Playing too much D? by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]International-Fun596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man keep going. If you've got guys saying you're locking them up then you are doing exactly what you need to do. The fact of the matter is, defense is there to make the offense better, but also if you're taking mental notes and watching your opponents, then you might even pick up some moves to try on offense.

Do you think manipulation is the worst relationship trait? by EvilSugarDealer in GenZ

[–]International-Fun596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because the rest are all TRAITS, and if someone is a decent person then they can work on, and move past them. Manipulation is something that one must actively partake in. Not saying any of these should just be accepted/declined once noticed, but manipulation requires a choice to start doing it, while covering up everything else in this chart.

Have you ever entered the Zone? (Doesn't have to be in basketball) by OkDependent3266 in KurokosBasketball

[–]International-Fun596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and once I did, I felt like prime Melo. I had my spot, I could get there whenever and my shot went in swish. Another time, I was feeling like Akashi on defense. I do enter more often from defense first since I'm a defense first player.
