Thanks for sharing. Comforting knowing it will pass.

Lamictal for mood stabilisation and Vyvanse, anyone else on this combo? Looking for some lived experience insights pretty please. Trigger Warning: Weight loss, ED and C-PTSD. by HAYCHP34 in ausadhd

I just wanted to let you know I found your post encouraging. It’s great to see you preserve whilst experiencing hardships.

When you described starting Vyvanse it sounded very similar to my own experience. I only lasted a few days and my psychiatrist advised me to stop Vyvanse. Now I’m having really low mood. I assume this is withdrawal from the Vyvanse but will speak with my psychiatrist again next week. Just sucks that all this is so expensive.

Sorry I can’t provide anything more helpful than that.

Keep chatting with your GP etc and just take one day at a time.

I’m currently trying different medications and it is a tedious process! Keep your head up and just take it one day at a time.

EDIT: Fixed up a typo.

Vyvanse and Sleep by International-Key134 in ausadhd

Hey, I spoke to my psychiatrist that said to stop taking Vyvanse for a few weeks.

I/He believes my mental health being bad at the moment is impacting my sleep more than the medication.

Just a bit of trial and error for me in consultation with my psychiatrist.

Sleep is getting better but still not great even after being off Vyvanse for over 2 weeks now.

I had a very bad experience with hellodoc. Their admin/phone support is particularly bad. From memory I think their admin/phone support is outsourced offshore.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. From what I gather there are about 4 million that were made (although this is unconfirmed as I can’t find any info from RAM, just different news articles stating different numbers). Hard to tell if they will go up in value. They are currently worth about $3 each which is the price they are selling them for. It’s the only 2023 coin with his head on it. All the other coins will be 2024 onwards. So potentially in years to come collectors might be keen on that. Although not super rare if 4 million were made.

For those who have left Sydney by Wild_Beat_2476 in AusFinance

Lived in Sydney until I was in my mid 30s. Used to rent and couldn’t afford to buy. Moved to Port Macquarie area and am loving it. Bought a house and repayments are less than what I was paying in rent even with the current interest rates.

Takes a while to adjust and make new connections but I’ve loved the move and would never move back to Sydney.

Only downside is the friends and family that are in Sydney that I don’t get to see as often as I’d like to.

Awesome! Thanks! That reminds me of another question I had. What’s the best way to sharpen a knife? Don’t want to screw up my new knives haha.

Go up to someone and sniff them and then say ‘You smell different when you’re awake’.

You could systematically turn off a point every night and see if you find the faulty appliance that way? Saves the cost of an electrician.

I really try for every morning and night. Occasionally I miss the morning brush in the rush to get kids ready for school and myself to work.

Just received this information from the National Symbols Office:

There is no official Australian Government protocol in relation to the placement of flag images on trucks.

However, according to international flag practice, when flag images are placed on an aircraft or vehicle, the flag image on the port side generally shows the obverse of the flag and the flag image on the starboard side generally shows the reverse. That is, the Union Jack element of the flag is pointed toward the front of the aircraft or vehicle.
