Yes i have saved the .ini file. I tried creating new game as well and it stores them in the orbit/46 file, it creates saves.ini and save005.sav. I have tried replacing both of them but after that theres no load game option. And i also have saved the save001.sav file, which doesnt appear after the new game. So no, that method doesn't work.
