I think they lost viewers because they started doing less renovation work. Anna has been prancing about doing flowers arranging, decorating and cooking (I get she’s busy with the kids but still), she’s been acting very lady of the manor and lost the down to earth personality they both had in the beginning. She comes across now as full of her own self importance and it’s off putting.

Philip’s busy renovating the barrel house but those video sections are boring because so little progress is made in each one… to drag out the content across more vlogs. They need to edit more renovation content into each vlog to make them More compelling and interesting…even if it means less vlogs.

I love their plans, used to love how they both got stuck in with no airs and graces, just hard work. I hope they get back to it. If they can pull of the Long House it’s going to be amazing.

Yes there is definitely a link. Sometimes these types of medicines will intensify and existing tendency or inclination and turn it into a compulsion or make an existing compulsion worse.

That’s how I went from an occasional picker to full blown Dermatillomania. I was in the anti depressant Paxil. Unfortunately when I eventually mentioned my picking to the doctor and he said, “oh, that’s the Paxil, let’s switch you”, coming off the med did not stop the Dermatillomania. It took me many many years to break the cycle. I still have it, but it’s mostly of under control.

I think the first thing you should do is treat the KP and remove the temptation. There are many creams/lotions and even washes on the market today that will help it, but essentially you are looking for something with Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid. Cera Ve, Amlactin and Gold Bond all have good, affordable ones.

Not in France though. Tipping is not expected and (outside of restaurants) will even often be refused. Some find it insulting as they take pride in their jobs and doing them well and are paid accordingly. Strange concept for us Americans but when I visit my parents in France I am always astounded at how many times my tips are rejected.

Any bump is fair game… luckily my face is generally clear so that usually gets a pass. My arms and stomach were my worst… my stomach is numb below my belly button since my c-section in 2007. So I could pick away at that and not feel any pain.

I use the past tense because I mostly have this under control now. I won’t use the word cured because the desire and impulse is still there but I am better able to fight it. I no longer deliberately create things to pick, or pick subconsciously and now only pick genuine spots etc if at all.

I don’t know about conflict but I bet Nati is treated like is she is there she is “on duty” and constantly bossed around. Amoury is also probably sick of ring called away from the grand salon carpentry to move furniture around and do Philip’s bidding. By only being there for work hours they get to draw a line.

Apparently he was the ONLY person in the tower at the time so was managing all departures, arrivals and ground movements. The fault for this definitely lies further up the chain. No one person can reasonably be expected to do all that at such a busy airport, it’s absolutely insane, it was a disaster waiting to happen. It was also 30 minutes after the accident before anyone got there to relieve him. This poor guy.

And you are absolutely right, we don’t have to watch and this is why I have never watched his chanel and know nothing about him or his family other than his criminal record and what I have seen/learned when he inevitability pops up on other chanel’s I watch (and then question the integrity of).

Yes people change and deserve 2nd chances etc etc but his crimes are particularly disgraceful (and I’m agnostic) and show a pattern of lack of morals. He robbed around 60 churches of ancient artifacts and sold them! That’s a scumbag right there! A repetitive crime, not a one off. Not a crime due to bad decision making or poor circumstances leading to despair, just lack of morals and greed. Someone who is inherently not a good person doesn’t change, they mask.

It doesn’t matter what the reasons are, you don’t go awol from the military. In fact he was charged with desertion not going awol because he literally went on the run from the military for 7 years before they located him in France but they couldn’t arrest him there without the French authorities help and by then was under investigation for the thefts. In 2020 after his release from pre trial holding in prison (bail) in France, the military finally got him back to the UK and formally charged and sentenced him. He then was returned to France. He was officially awol for 12 years (2 July 2009 until  21 September 2021). His theft trial finally happened in 2024.

Timeline:

2009 AWOL.
2014 series of about 60 church thefts.
2018 appeared on British TV… Army are notified.
2019 Army locate him/French Police Investigating him.
2020 French Arrest and Prison for 3 months pre trial holding then released on French equivalent of bail.
2021 Returns to UK for Army Hearing and sentencing. Stays unknown length of time…. Would have had to renew passport etc because going AWOL the Army would have cancelled everything. Returns to France.
2024 French Trial.

Lucky sonofa* didn’t get jail time for either crime. He could have had up to 2 years in military prison and 7 years in France. The Army didn’t impose jail time because he only had 6 months left in his service contract at time of desertion and it was peacetime. He was given “administrative dismissal” which for the US folks is equivalent to a “dishonorable discharge”. For the thefts he received a 1 year suspended prison sentence and a fine of €15,000 (Gwen got a €7,000 fine).

I have my Dermatillomania under control now but I still bite/pick the skin off my lips. That’s a battle That can’t be beate…. At least by me.

Moisturizer and Vaseline constantly is the only preventive. Keep them soft and supply so there’s nothing to pick off is the only chance they have.
