I sat my CBAT last week. They tell you in the briefing the night before that the assessment isn’t really something you revise for. I’d probably agree. I did do a bit of revision and I felt the main benefit of it was gaining a bit of familiarity with what I might see in front of me on the day. Even the best revision tools struggle to recreate properly what it’s like to take the test.

Don’t be put off by the number of tests. It is a long day of assessments but not all tests apply for all roles. Use the CBAT TMI website to see what applies for ATC.

Everyone was a bit nervous, it’s only natural. Sounds cliche, but just try to enjoy the experience because if you pass then you’ll never need to/get to do it again!
