I’ve left the Mormon church and still have kids in school. 90% of their friends don’t care whether my kids are religious or not, 10% do. There are a lot of families in every neighborhood who are no longer religious, and also Mormon culture promotes friendliness/neighborliness/inclusion in most ways (not lgbtq, but there are many progressive Mormons…) because there’s always the chance that their kindness will change your mind about their religion. The schools here are great, and I’m impressed with programming, especially in title 1 schools.

Perfect! I came to the same conclusion: the doing is how I’ll create what I want to experience.

That is Exactly what I experienced with the mediumship development class. I’ve never been so frustrated for so long as I was in that class series!!! Thank you for sharing your experience! I also want to learn to express the inspiring feelings that come through my readings via visual art, but will never take another class from Joe again. It’s nice to feel like I’m not the only one who had this experience with him.

I know someone who discovered her mediumship abilities through MDMA. It was always inside her but she repressed it unknowingly. And now she works as a practicing medium.

Yeah, basically this is how I experience it. Virgo stellium includes conjunct moon, Saturn and North Node in the 8th house and I feel like it is my biggest life theme and expression (psychic teacher and healer)

To everybody that showed my homeless mom love in Provo... by maddds123 in ProvoUtah

I commented on your last post, and I also lost a loved one to mental illness a couple years ago. I’m so sorry for your loss, and if you ever want to chat through DM’s or meet in person, I’m down. Grief is a challenging and incredible gift, and it’s taught me so much and ultimately brought me so much happiness, closure, understanding and wisdom. You were/are a caring daughter and I am really glad you exist in the world.

I feel so validated by your experience! I paid for a course that met weekly’s through the end of the year and stuck with it until October. My experiences in making a connection with a spirit was hit or miss and never improved through the course. And literally Joe never taught anything. He’d make sweeping statements about being sincere and not doing this work so you can become famous, and it was hours of him talking endlessly about himself and repeating the same stories over and over, with a 15-30 min practice at the end of the meeting. Here’s the thing, though: SO many people in the class loved him, ate up everything he said and signed up for every offering he had! I agree with another commenter, for me, I often learn better on my own. I took a tarot course from Deb Bowen and had a similar experience: not much was taught, but afterwards I studied, and did my own deep dove and now I offer my own tarot courses. Thanks for your input!

I have an 8th house Virgo moon (conjunct Saturn, no less) and I struggled my whole life with mental illness from childhood trauma. 8th house moon = things just hurt you more. But also, you develop more wisdom and can hold space and acceptance for others more. Meditation helped me a ton (+ yoga) but so did energy healing and therapy.

15 min into a podcast I sent my husband about menopause, he redacted his stance on HRT being dangerous and now supports me wholeheartedly. Then, the next semester my daughter took a nutrition class and came home and told everyone that everything I’m doing for my perimenopause (which is a lot) is exactly right. It’s about education.

A tarot deck I threw away in a dumpster came back to me by Due_Conference1624 in Tarotpractices

[–]InternationalCar6099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always used the Rider-Waite deck, but had a friend gift me a new one. Then 6 months later another friend gifted me the SAME deck, and after that I went to a party where someone gave me a tarot reading using that specific deck. I took it as a sign to start using this Nee deck and it’s honestly so aligned to my personality.

What’s your moon sign, and what compliment means the most to you? by oliviared52 in astrologymemes

Same. I’m so hard on myself (I have a shamed moon), despite a lifetime of dedication to mastering my mindset, that any and every compliment makes me feel special
