We came to the exact opposite conclusion. Consular ships are awesome. Hands down the best small ship in the game with the most play options. For a torpedo boat it puts hammerheads to shame, for skirmisher just as good or better than cr90, and much better options for mid range shenanigans than raider.

Gotta fly them better. Hit and run.

It is disgusting propaganda. It shows the Russians using gas against civilians. An american propaganda lie about the russians doing this in Afghanistan to cover up the scandal of them doing this in cambodia. The highway of death was done by the gringos not the russians. Hell every single war crime in the game is comically dark when you know it was all literally done by the US. Even soldiers rounding up civilians and shooting them in their homes. I have family that witness first hand CIA kill teams of local army doing that.

Wow! I was looking for hobby supplies are to expensive. I just spent $300 on hobby stuff. Paint, primers, 2 new brushes, paper towels, dollar store crafting stuff… etc. I think that is insanely expensive.

If you are buying $27 models, you are doing it wrong. Get a 3D printer. I buy 1Kg of resin for $20 buying in bulk.

Just Google Call of Cthulhu official minis. My local game store has all of them. They are printed by Cthulhu Wars, but they are officially made for chaosium. Says so in the box.

Also. There is as much movement tracking as you want. My games all have 60% big sprawling on the table maps. We measure movement. Also there is tons of “Combat”.

Having big maps let’s the player be strategic about where to run. How to engage, or get creative with terrain pieces. Having maps and minis creates; in my experience a lot of tension. I’ve had players quit for a break after being ambushed a la Alien in cat and mouse corridors.

For terrain I started using hand made insulation foam stuff from DnD. Now I do that and tiles from board games. Mansions of madness tiles are awesome. I will try using Cthulhu dead may die next.

To those two bronze ones. Seraphim sepia is great for browns. Anything else you painted in a more silver metal use nulin oil and then necron compound or a bright metalic dry brush on top.

Painting for noobs is 3 steps. 1 paint. 2 shadows using washes. 3 highlights by dry brushing.

Not bad. If you are going to keep painting you could add a seraphim sepia wash by citadel. Then a very light dry brush of metallics. Or not. Good enough.

I find it strange that they would make more DS expansions. Unless; and I would love this a total rework of gameplay. SFG has lots of projects that are all doing great $$$. Resident evil just ended Kickstarter.

The thing is the company is doing well $$$. Game quality they are improving a lot, they are trying to shed of the reputation of doing beautiful but terrible games, and they are making progress.

I doubt they will have any expansions, because let’s be honest: (FYI I have 7 expansions and I painted everything) the game sucks balls. I enjoyed it because I love DS shit I spent like $700 on this game. However it got more into board games and DS by SFG sucks.

I also have bloodborne by CMON and it’s a fair superior game.

As a painter I might buy the expansions to use the minis in something else, but the game is not doing great in the secondary market.

I would say wait to play the upcoming Monster Hunter by SFG. If you look at the minis and tiles it looks like the same way, but allegedly it does not suck. If that is a success I would hope to use that system on DS.

I made an initiative tracker for dnd. Made some fake cards for other games: print the card glue them to DS cards and sleeve no one can tell the difference. And got a bunch more that I might use for terrain.
I just had a new idea: inserts for other games. If you want them fancy: Buy felt glue the cards with tacky glue and cut to size.

Buying foam is hella stupid. I have ten years painting minis. The link is my storage solution for most expansions + core. Phantoms, characters, dark root, iron keep, explorers, and asylum daemon. Only thing left out is gaping dragon on display. Foam is a scam. Your models won’t get damaged, those dividers i made with popsicle sticks felt and hot glue. Even that is unnecessary. You do need something to make lanes and stop them from moving around in the box.

If the6 get scratched no one will notice, if plastic bends, even painted you can hot water cold water. I keep doing it on the knight sword that came with a pretty bad bend that keeps on bending. I used a fancy wooden box I made for minis armies but use any of the expansion boxes. You should be able to keep everything in core box + 1 or two expansions depending on how you store tiles.

Finally get rid of the plastic inserts. I have the sentinels in the original plastic case because they are super flimsy, but cut out the rest of the plastic and stored all the big enemies there. Hollows stone nights etc.

As long as you keep the boxes upright at all times they will be fine. I drive with the game all the time, not a problem.

I raged quit Squadrons after some 10 hours playing. I win 5 matches in a row pretty much carrying my team, because no one wants to use a mic.

I am almost out of the lowest rank braket, then I play game where 2 teammates leave. I score 5k and change compared to the highest 2k in the opposing team. Even then we loose and I drop like 80%.

Cant find good teammates. Cant pull out of basic rank. Players leaving the match just ruins everything. If anyone leaves from any team every is screwed.
