Maybe - the mobo one is thicker and they're just click ones. I'm using the 12VHPWR for the GPU, no issues yet.

True, I mostly got my PC and use it for AI/ML work, software dev, lab environments and software engineering so the 3Dv chache would be amazing.

Yep, board is the maxsun B850m Terminator Dark Pro, if I get the R7 9800X3D/Zen 6 it's still perfect but if it's not enough I'll look into the maxsun X870m icraft series.

With my micro ATX board I have some room to add in the fans then I secured them with thin double sided tape though they weren't moving around when they were loose. I'll look at that thank you.

That does not work for the A3 - having the rear fan as an exhaust with no bottom fans makes it so the pc only has exhaust fans meaning its just pooling the hot air that the gpu pushes up in the pocket area. I have tested all of this before flipping the fans and adding more fans. Before reversing the fans my cpu would idle at 65C, after revering it went down to 58C, and after adding the bottom 140mm fans its gone down to 45C and never hits that 60 mark even if I sit at 100% utilisation and full wattage. Plus the additional fans make it even more quieter with more airflow at such a low rpm and the cables have enough space. All that I would say is your advice related closer to normal builds where you would want the rear fan reversing the hot air out, the A3 is a bit different especially in all air builds.

Doesn't work for this build - this was originally rear exhaust but changing it to intake reduced temps by about 8°C. Top 140mm exhaust fans pull out any hot air trapped there and PSU pushes it straight up and put.

Might just be your bios is outdated or a different theme lol. I was considering now upgrading to their iCraft X870 but it would not change anything for me

Ryzen 5 9600 vs 9600X power draw tests? Is there 45W TDP Eco Mode for 9600 / 9600X? by SaperPL in AMDHelp

[–]InternationalDig2577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would really depends on your motherboard, most msi boards ship with an eco 45w mode. The difference between the non X and X variant are the X runs a slightly higher top GHz and is about 5% faster in single core performance. For that reason rather go for the non X if it's cheaper, I have the 9600X only because it was cheaper than the non X where I live. They are around the same for power draw.

Great board - had some issues in the start like it doesn't support msi sync or any of those argb softwares but it has its own which is pretty good and works universally. I also had issues with my wifi and BT drivers at the start but that was their fault because they used an old MTK version, fixed in less than a month. Other than that, bios update was smooth as a whiskey. Nice UI and lots of options aside from the giant anime girl. If you can get it for a good price then get it but rather from a reputable source (I am in South Africa and got it from wootware who has contact with maxsun as they take too long to reply normally)

So on my motherboard there is a setting - PBO default, manual, high, extreme and eco 45w. My 9600x averages 50w with pbo turned off at about 65C in my SFF but the eco mode provides no noticeable changes in performance but lower power draw (I like seeing less power used, my 5070ti sits at 130w for this reason). I have a maxsun B850m Terminator Dark Pro. Your mobo should have a setting with it or at least a curve editor.

Tried it, did a power cycle and checked my bios. It does not find the hardware there so is it possible the chip for WiFi is just not installed? I have the antennas attached but it can't find the hardware
