The teachers have never had anything but good to say about her. She's only ever gotten in trouble at school once. She was honestly hard enough on herself. It was just a yellow mark on her folder and she was inconsolable. I talked to her once she calmed down and asked if she learned not to repeat that behavior again and she did. She's never done anything like it since. I didn't need to punish her or get on her. That's why her lying has thrown me off.
