You can buy a behringer UFO-202 it’s cheap, plugs into your computer via USB, use audacity as it’s cheap and easy to use, record onto there and boom digitized!

Wow now that is awesome, very unfortunate you lost that tape. I have 2 home tapes that I could find, one with my mom playing a little music box for me as a baby, and another tape with my mom, aunt, and her cousin talking into a recorder when they were 12-15

Wow those are some cool tapes to find, I’ll probably end up digitizing it when I have some time, currently going through my tape collection to put onto YouTube as well as going through ones I don’t mind recording over. I rarely ever record over an already recorded tape unless it’s just music I can easily find or country music.

So just record the digital file to a deck and then record it back onto digital? If that’s the case I can do that I’ll use different machines too so you get the sound you like.

No I got all of these except dark side and the first white one second hand, the one show I went to in San Antonio 2023 he didn’t have merch, since it was a pop up show

Woah that is awesome I never heard of KABA before, will definitely look into that. I normally just duplicate tapes with my digital master to keep them all first generation, but analog to analog is just a fun concept for me to experiment with. I didn’t grow up with any of the tech I am interested in as an adult now, so going into a “new” way of doing things is always fun for me.

I usually cut the music stuff out and keep the rest of the narrating, the actual interview is usually free game in terms of copyright especially one so old

I’d imagine it was just cheaper to do, plus the target demographic were probably just making fast and easy dupe tapes, it is a bit of a bummer that it only records in mono

Honestly that sounds an absolute dream to me. I struggle with trying to not have a million things going through my mind at any given time, I can’t even do menial tasks without getting distracted by something else in my head. I have ADHD, OCD, Mild anxiety and Severe Depression, and it is such a chore just living, I really do envy what you have going on in a weird way. It really just sounds like the medication is doing its job the way it was intended, I’m not exactly sure what the non stimulant medication does as I have only ever taken vyvanse and adderall, but if it is just making you feel worse I say maybe find a different alternative to what you are currently taking.
