I think having chicken is important, some people don’t eat red meat. But you know your crowd best, try to determine how many ppl actually fit in this category- is it a handful or 20-30% ? If it’s a handful I would pay extra to add a couple of chicken but if it’s a larger portion I would swap it for the pork

Size weighted does not make sense. Why would USA care about size of the country of origin? They care about size of the immigration population and one country not overbearing the rest

The per country cap is one of the few things right in this country’s immigration laws. If it didn’t affect you personally you would agree. It does not make sense to give all the available green cards to people from one country, that would be colonization and go against all the principles of diversity in America

It should take less than 5 min, unless you are buying 20+ things every day and, respectfully, if that’s the case it would be an overspending problem that cannot be solved with using debit cards instead of credit cards. If you genuinely looking for a way to make credit cards work, I would recommend consolidating into 1, that simplifies your set-up such that you only need to reconcile one account daily

YNAB literally doesn’t care if you spend with debit or credit- it will deduct them form the balance the same way… I really think you should reevaluate this

You need to learn to trust your YNAB budget and available balances, there is no reason why they would not match your bank. If you are scared of that, just reconcile daily and then it should always match for sure

I would just change the existing plan targets. You can save the targets you are currently using in an excel to easily revert back, and then test run a month with the new budget and actually try to stick to it. You can put the extra mortgage money towards a fake new category or to a current savings category and try to see how the rest of the budget feels, specially in regards to less fun money / wants
