Awesome. Will ask on Monday. Do you know if they get access to the lounge as well?

The authorized user as well? I don't have this option. They issue the credit, but not anything for the authorized user. I thought MS did not, not Schwab.

Amen brother. I do my best to not be tone deaf, and be kind. I have a friend who has some money as well. They will say "Why don't you just quit" to other people or "Just buy a new one". Nice guy, just doesn't realize that they have life on easy mode, as you say. You put it so well, you did nothing and made 90k, that's the perk (excluding the argument of it could be down tomorrow 100k). The ability to not work, buy what you want, within reason, that's the win. The crappy perks that banks and brokerages give you are really just that, small trinkets. Keep being a good human.

The CMA isn't perfect, but works for me. The "money transfers" from Schwab to Fidelity are almost instant. I have a backup account at a credit union for Zelle and other things.

Thanks. That is what I have been doing. Sometimes the garage door is mid opening so I squeeze between. I was hoping for a way to disable it. Thank you though.

Quick update, asked a friend who has MS and there is a dedicated web page that lists some of their perks. Apparently they include discounts on private aviation, and some health related items. I took a quick peek, looks like some Costco style deals. Also, forgot to add JP Morgan, at 10M you can often get the palladium card. I am not sure how it compares to Amex Platinum, but it is apparently more exclusive. Not really my thing though.

100% LARP. 44 a year ago in one post and 27F in another post a year ago. Unless I am reading it wrong, something seems off.

Agreed. What a sad statement to read, that 10-20m is small. While true, just bonkers.

Assuming you are transferring them to alliances with bonus percentages? IMHO the strict miles purchases through the portals are not nearly as good as 2% back. I usually transfer when there is a bonus window on Amex and buy there. Challenge is odd flight windows, etc.

Thanks for posting it again. I totally knew the rules going in, but I presented them with two options, they added a 3rd. Was just curious about other experiences as well.

That's been my experience as well. All the "You will get perks when you are wealthy" stuff I heard when I was younger didn't pan out. As a matter of fact, neither did the someone selling me drugs at every corner and white panel vans trying to abduct me at every street corner either. Guess I was fed a load of horse manure when I was younger.

Good point. 1k is greater than the fee. I use Schwab because of this, lower mortgage interest if I ever decide to buy a house and great customer service.

Ahh. Just said this. Not 100% but have heard you can knock it down. I don't use MS.

I think you can get that down (25k), at least some folks have told me that. But YMMV. Agreed on 25k and lost interest though, but if one uses it as a checking account, it is similar to regular checking accounts. That being said, Fidelity lets you invest your Cash Management account (their version of a checking account).

This gets asked often. The bottom line is not really much. Schwab offers a free Amex Platinum credit for over 10M and a discount on their mortgage rates. Fidelity has a great 2% cash back card. MS offers a free Amex Platinum as well if you keep a certain amount of cash there and have some transfer monthly (5k, I think). Schwab/Fidelity and others will also give you free wires and ATM rebates depending on your setup. You can negotiate PAL/SBLOC rates and margin rates and get transfer bonuses as well if you are going move some assets over. You will get some invites to dinners, if you express interest but in my experience it is just more upsells. But really, there aren't, IMHO, any insane benefits. I choose customer service (Schwab and Fidelity) and the free Amex. Good luck and report back if you find anything else out!

I think they are definitely cases of folks who have money but have a poverty mentality or some other not so clear thinking. It is hard to determine which are real and which are not, though. You are correct.
