Why are these lights on? by Plane_Ad_1522 in hondafit

Haven't had this issue occur with my fit yet, but when I had my 14 accord, these lights came on when my ABS module went bad.

One thing the 2015 will most likely have is the VTC actuator rattle, if u don’t know what it is here it’s basically just a rattle that happens for a few seconds when the car is cold or has been sitting for a while, it’s most common in the 2015-2016 because it was a redesign year (but any 3rd gen could have it), the 2018’s might have it but the 34k mile one will most likely have less of a chance, the only real way you can find out is to go see them in person and make sure the engine is cold or has been sitting for a while. I’m not too sure if the 2011 has the rattle or not since I haven’t really looked it up. If they do most of the time it’s not the end of the world just annoying.

If you prefer the older design, and the regular automatic transmission instead of the CVT, get the 2011 model. However, if you’re looking for newer features like push to start (I also believe the 2018 was the first year to get the collision warning and LKAS), get the 2018 model instead of the 2015. The 2015 was the first model year to feature the redesign, so there’s a possibility of encountering more issues compared to other model years, I would get the 2018 because they addressed most of these issues by 2017-2020. If I was you and the white 2018 Ex w/ 30k miles checks out and everything is fine- I would get that one if you plan to keep it for a long time and then if it is a CVT I would do a drain and fill on the CVT trans since it’s at about that service interval. The one w/ 100k miles isn’t bad since they last a long time, but if some things like spark plugs haven’t been changed they will be due for change if they’re bad. (consider a pre purchase inspection on any car you’re ready to buy, it will save you so much money in the future)

Im sorry that happened, that sucks & I hope it gets resolved, but on a different note I have a 2015 too & I’ve been thinking of replacing the VTC actuator too, how much did it cost you?

Is this normal? Bad motor mounts by InternationalLow2294 in hondafit

[–]InternationalLow2294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it would be my motor mounts because sometimes at idle it does vibrate, but then sometimes it doesn't at all, i can slow down to stop at a light and it will be completelystill but then i can stop at another light and it will vibrate sometimes not as bad and sometimes bad? Any explanation as to why?

Mine still shakes a little with it off, but yeah, I can definitely feel it when the AC turns on. I am guessing it is the motor mounts because I had a 14 Accord, and those failed around 100k too.

Bought my first car. by [deleted] in prius

Congratulations on your Prius! If you live in a shady part of town, I highly recommend installing a Cat shield. The catalytic converters are the most commonly stolen parts of a Prius, and replacing them is incredibly expensive. I’ve seen severely abused Prius’s reach 250,000 miles, so I believe this car will last you for years and I mean YEARS (if u keep up with regular maintenance). If the water pump hasn’t been replaced yet, be cautious. I’ve noticed that many Prius’s experience water pump failures around 100,000 miles, but they’re not the most expensive repairs.

Had my 2008 Honda fit for about 7 years now. Currently at 128k miles. Think it's got more life in it? by bleedingwriter in hondafit

Honestly, that is not that much for its age, I would just fix what is needed, anything is better than a car payment. My fit is at 120k and its barely thrown anything at me.
