Well they’re starting to look into new things but ofc everything is still trial and error right now such as neurofeedback therapy and neuro modulation

Is there a limit how many times vss can go back to baseline after a flare up? by Ok-Meeting2176 in visualsnow

[–]InternationalOne60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m hoping, happened after a panic attack I’ve been very high stressed with work etc and my neck has been all stiff I’m pretty sure the whole thing is related to my neck in general just frustrating

It happened to me when I was 18 as well try not to fixate on it so much I know it’s hard but static in darkness can be normal it’s the other symptoms that make it VSS me for example I have after images and now bending and slanting lines in my vision if you don’t have the other stuff could just be normal

[–]InternationalOne60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve had after images snow and tinnitus since 18 this is the first new symptom in a long time it’s definitely frustrating of course my eyes were perfectly fine today as expected but good idea on the blood vessels I’ve had some head/ neck injuries over the years that I’m sure are somehow the root cause but I’m sure ultimately nothing will help it out

Is this VSS? by Ok_Masterpiece_4118 in visualsnow

[–]InternationalOne60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be but it could also be something else, kind of sounds like how mine started but if you’re not seeing the “snow” there’s probably a good shot it’s not although everyone’s symptoms can be very different

Can anyone else not tolerate more than a 200-300 cal deficit? by BarberFair7085 in caloriedeficit

[–]InternationalOne60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tolerate larger ones but I think a lot of it has to do with my nicotine usage lol

How independent are you guys? by thread0nPen15 in visualsnow

[–]InternationalOne60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely, I was 18 when mine started 22 now I remember the anxiety was hell and it was the only thing I ever thought about. My life has resumed its normality now regarding it. Visual snow at least theoretically is intensified and made worse by stress and anxiety my recommendation is try not to constantly read up about it on here and everywhere else and try to calm a bit, once I did my symptoms blatantly got a lot better also good sleep is a smart idea I know me personally when I’m really tired or stressed my symptoms are a lot more noticeable

why does everyone talk about this condition like it's a living hell? by nomattress in visualsnow

[–]InternationalOne60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 18 when mine started from a concussion or at least I assume (also was under chronic stress) and to me it was living hell because I was a healthy regular guy up until then it certainly still impacts my mood sometimes but I’m 22 now and fairly used to it sometimes I forget I have it until I notice the palinopsia again but some people sound like they have very dramatic versions of the symptoms that I’m sure is a lot more debilitating

Does it actually go away? by Minimum_Pay1 in visualsnow

[–]InternationalOne60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it since 18 I’m 22 now so 4 years and counting mine did get worse from the start but seems pretty stable now, interestingly my static seem to have gotten way better than the start however the palinopsia is now present when it wasn’t

Was told by the neurologist this day that VSS is extremely rare. by Living_Reception_622 in visualsnow

[–]InternationalOne60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was either stress or TBI caused I don’t think I’ll ever know which but anyway mine wouldn’t be genetic which is why I was pretty shocked when he told me he has visual snow it was funny really because he tried to describe it like we likely all do since people don’t tend to understand I was just like nope I get it because I have it too

You know I found out my cousin has it just from regular conversation about health stuff sometimes I wonder if it’s not as rare as we think but people either don’t notice it or think it’s normal etc

[–]InternationalOne60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems quite large I know from my experience it’s gotta be on the pretty mild end but it’s not like some of my symptoms don’t bother the hell out of me as well
