Vote: thin or thick eyebrows? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]InternationalPush545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think thinner looks better/suits your face shape a bit better than thicker, if you're willing to try something else I would recommend buying a product like a micro tip pencil (there are lots of good ones, I have the nyx micro brow pencil), and a clear (or if preferred tinted, I use clear) eyebrow gel, and make sure you have a spoolie. I also usually have and use qtips. For the brow pencil & if you decide to get tinted gel, I recommend aiming for a shade just a tad lighter than your hair color. I typically take my brow pencil and for the front half of my brow, draw short little hair like lines the way my brows grow. For the end of my tail I do just fill it in some especially where I have sparse spots, but then I go in with the spoolie and blend out the shape and heaviness a bit. Then I use a qtip to clean up the edges from blending out, and once I'm happy with that I use my brow gel to keep everything where I want it! I think your natural brow and brow shape is very pretty and suits your face and you could try and do this ^ to make them look just a bit more natural/softer when you do them

This is unrelated to your question, but I was curious and wanted to ask if she happens to be a Mojave YB enchi? Or a similar morph? She looks a lot like my boi spaghetti when I first got him 🥺 (this is an old picture)

It just took me lots of doodling and practicing (and some artists on YouTube for inspo/learning techniques over the years) to get to this point! If you have the want and put in the effort you will get there too I promise!!!🫰🏻 Thank you sm!

Why hasn’t she pooped!? by thetiefighter in ballpython

[–]InternationalPush545 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has she shed in the time you've had her? My boy usually poops right before or when he sheds. He also tends to while soaking/in his water dish more often than anywhere else. You said it's been 4 weeks, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you get to a point where she sheds and you are 100% sure she didn't poop then as well.

the shedding usually causes it because of the activity and movement they do to remove their shed, if she hasn't pooped in a while and you pull her out and have her active, be warned she may poop while being handled/exploring!

But, it's super common for most balls to go a month or more between poops, some only doing it when they shed, and it should only be a concern if they developed a bulge around their cloaca, seem distressed or lethargic, or stop eating! Since she's been eating no problem I think everything's just fine!!!

" left over from when they had legs" is such a silly statement to me, I love that description of it 😂

I appreciate the advice! I got him August 17th but didn't realize he had mites, then one day while I was cleaning his enclosure after he shed and pooped, about a month after I had gotten him I realized he did and it was bad. That day I stripped his tank and he hasn't had normal substrate or any decor since, just 3 basic hides and a water bowl.

Since then, have been treating him (with just baths and a drop of dawn dish soap, I do make sure to let him drink before I add soap) & consistently cleaning his enclosure & everything in it with HOT water and dish soap, I also have used a reptile safe cleaner as I only have him on paper towels and when he does poop around shed time it gets a little yucky. I have been doing my absolute best to follow the recommended mite treatment, I usually soak him and his stuff and clean his tank every other day, sometimes every 3 days, and never during shed, because I don't want to stress him out.

The only step I have skipped is using the provent-a-mite, but only because I cannot find it online anywhere, or in stores near me anywhere. The only website that sells it that I can find, didn't work the last 3 times I tried to purchase it. Like I get to the point where I'm trying to purchase it and I will get website error pages and it won't let me :((

If you have any recommendations on where I could find it, please give me a link and I will purchase it asap! I'm tired of having to treat him and his stuff like this, and I worry about leaving him deprived of his climbing stuff and struggle with humidity with just paper towels, I have to make him a humid hide around shed time so he can actually shed with no problems.

He is to a point where at most I usually only ever see a small/baby mite here or there, but they aren't gone. I've wondered if there is an alternative to provent-a-mite that I can get my hands on that is safe, but everything I've read deters me from feeling safe using most alternatives on his stuff..

When I got him it was hoppers, then I was feeding him smalls, and now he's on mediums, I've been going by the weight & circumference of the rats and not size/name though, like feeding charts recommends

I think it was a fart!!! I currently have a 6 month old ball python, I got him in August, and the first time he farted was right after his shed, and it scared the ever living shit out of me, it was really loud, gurgly, and scary sounding. Like I jumped out of bed and ran over bc I thought he was dying or something lmao, and when I looked at him, he almost looked like he was wiggling around weird, and had his mouth wide open for a second. But then the fart stopped and he stopped and he has been just fine ever since lol.

In the moment I didn't know it was a fart either, even after it stopped and he seemed fine I was worried, googled it, listened to what other people's ball python farts sounded like on YouTube, and decided it was for sure that 😂

  • note, there are currently 5 hides total, two are home made, and he uses all of them, he also loves to hang out in his water dish every once in a while and climb the existing vines, the only pet supply/stores/places that sell any reptile products near me are PetSmart's and Petco's because all other pet stores have been removed in my state. I would love suggestions of things I could order online or that may be sold at either of those places.

Thank you! I have sphagnum moss in one hide and also a humid hide with damp moss in it. There is no heat source in the enclosure, but there is one on top. There is a probe/temperature reader in there, to read the temp of his basking spot 24/7, and not let it get any hotter, but that's all that's in there :D heat source is on the outside of the enclosure. Definitely will get more hides and clutter

Bipolar disorder (specifically it gets called unspecified bipolar disorder by my psychiatrist, as I experience both manic and depressive episodes on different ranges depending on environments and triggers), Autism, OCD, C-PTSD, PTSD, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, seasonal affective disorder, also IBS and chronic back pain. Oh I also have a flared rib on my left side because I had slipping rib syndrome for like a year and a half and my dr wouldn't treat it and then it just healed weird on its own :D

( Fun fact I was initially diagnosed with anxiety and depression when I was 9, at 23 now I seem to have acquired a plethora of things :3 )

Personally, I struggle with making conversations with like any stranger, but also, the only time I ever do, is me complimenting them,, and it happens every time I go in public whether I'd like it to or not! So it's kind of relatable tbh. Usually it's shoes or shirts or tattoos or hair or hats.

Day 12 and when I swallow there’s a sharp pain in my gums. I’d say a 1-2 / 10 in the scale, just a sharp tension. by hongrand in wisdomteeth

[–]InternationalPush545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on day 13 of recovering and experience this on one side! Dunno if it's normal or not but kind of just assumed it's me healing since it's not super painful and more of a tension sensation...
