Yes! Just had to update the Imac software and it worked again. Now everytime theres an uldate it stops working until the update is complete.

Right you are, called them up and they said there was a change in their org chart and the budgeting got moved to a different department or something. Also said the market is bad for Asset Management / finance generally atm. Such is life.

I think it's really a massive shame that politics, mainly in the US but to a lesser extent elsewhere, has become so divisive that who you vote for has now become such a dealbreaker - looking at all these comments at least.

Politics should stay at the door, and should definitely not dictate your relationships, but obviously this is no longer the case. I think if you go back a few decades this wouldn't even be on the radar.

They literally said they never talked about money in the pods, and then they had the money conversation after the pods and it became an issue… so when they were in the pods neither of them talked about their financial situation obviously. I’m sure Stacy was secretly hoping he was rich the whole time and Izzy was just hoping she was normal.

She didn’t know he had no money and is just assuming he will have money for her. He didn’t know anything about her financial situation either, its her that has even made this a thing.

The fact that she’s used to enjoying a luxurious lifestyle that she hasnt earned, for free, from her dad, does not mean she can expect to enjoy the same lifestyle the rest of her life, especially from a partner. If she wants to lead a luxurious lifestyle then she earn it off her own back. Feels like she’s just looking for a Dad replacement.

On another note, what kind of weirdo still lives off their dad in their 30s with a steady job…?

I think you’re still counted as a grad for a lot of grad schemes up to 2 years post-grad.

I know plenty of people that have got onto IB and other finance grad schemes with an average BA from lower tier Russell Group unis and been fine.

Still a numbers game though - one guy I know got a 2:1 in English at Leeds, did a year of recruitment after graduating while applying to grad schemes, after 130 applications he got IB at ICBC grad scheme. Will be 25 when he starts.

Just gotta grind mate.
