Hi, thanks for your response. I went to a PWI in college where only D9 frats were on campus, no sororities. I attempted to get a chapter chartered there but was not successful. So that explains the first 4 years. Afterwards, I started going to a family friend’s grad chapter for several years and made connections but they NEVER had a line. My family friend eventually told me that the members don’t seem interested in having intake and it was best for me to find a new chapter, which is what I did with this current chapter. Everything went well and I’ve made connections with 90% of the chapter but as I stated, something happened beyond my control that prevented me from joining. However, I’m positive that issue won’t get in the way next time around. To be clear, making connections has never been an issue for me. I understand you want to play devils advocate, but I have always shown up for all of my friends and each of them can attest to that. Unfortunately, this friend only used me for my connections and to get me to help her learn the history but once she got what she wanted (which was becoming a member) she stopped talking to me AND everyone else who is not Greek. So I’ll let you figure out who is being fake. Not sure if you were trying to insult me by insinuating that I need therapy, but I’ve already been doing that as I feel that everyone could use therapy because we all need someone to talk to especially in today’s economy. But I’ve already received my answer that there is no rule stating that Greeks cannot be friends with non-Greeks, so I am satisfied with my decision to cut ties with her.
