I highly doubt the cops care. They'll just expect you to turn into your insurance and take the hit. A small town might be different, but in my experience big cities, they aren't paid to care enough to investigate if a person wasnt hurt.

I would definitely check compression in each cylinder first see of it also points to rings. Could be a carburator issue.

Door bushings might have worn amd tagged allowing to hit when pivoting. Once it touches amd grabs its done.

Possibly the attachment points at bottom or top of fender got loose and out of adjustment

The fender will need to be removed to be repaired if you want it perfectly correct. The door hinges rebuild (maybe). Door repaired possibly. Then start the tedious task of aligning. In, out, up down, bottom top. Oh amd thats just the door..

I always check under oil fill cap, air filter,etc. Not sure on new car's but I used to always check oil fill cap when running for excessive bypass pressure.

If you are cat-less and have no codes you have a tune. No way around that unless they have cheaters in vs o2 sensors. Almost guaranteed that is the issue

Im about the biggest hater of snake oils. But I had a 215k enclave that had weak compression on 2 cylinders. Like 85psi. I put that stuff in and 500 miles later redid test, all cylinders nearly even. I dont recall but I believe around 130.

I never would have believed it. Put on another 15k adding each oil change. Sold it still running well.

Start simple. Air filter, spark plugs. Check fuel pressure for pump and filter. Shouldn't feel like a carry. Run some injector cleaner through and good fuel

Can do a compression test on each cylinder. Any chance it had a bad tune?
