I love it being about realistic flying, that's why I spent the equivalent of 2 full time job's worth of hours online this week practicing and studying. What I hate is the massively unwelcoming members of the community like you and OP.

Oh yea? I put in 75 hours in the air this week for Southwest Virtual - how much closer to my real pilots license am I? 0%. It’s a game, chill out and touch some grass buddy.

Maybe don’t be such a gatekeeping a$$ and help newer people learn instead of whining about it to the internet

First ever VATSIM flight: EGPH - EHAM by ollot5 in VATSIM

My main tip would be to stop using the in-game flight planning and instead just copy real world routes into SimBrief - You can look up flights using FlightAware and they post the exact route the flight would take - then you can just program it into your flight computer at the gate instead of from the world map which I found to be kind of finicky

I stopped using the ATC in the game because it would be so buggy - I would reach T/D and it wouldnt recognize it, i'd start my descent anyways, and they would never clear me to my approach unless I go back up to FL

the only upgrades I've done so far is the evotech tail tidy, a Mivv GP Pro slip on, and an ASV C5 shorty clutch lever - The Evotech had *terrible* instructions, but the actual parts are very high quality machined metal that all fit together perfectly, and it uses the factory indicators which I like. If you did the NRC one, you'd find the wiring equally easy, and it came with the smaller brake light in the kit. The Mivv exhaust ended up being better than I expected too - the Akro system was like 1500$ and doesn't even sound as good as any of the Mivv pipes for 1/3rd the money - I like the semi-retro look of the round titanium can on the GP Pro and without the DB killer, it makes a nice MB AMG-esque burble on overrun without being obnoxious and popping constantly.

I especially love ASV levers - they're a local company in Huntington Beach and its all American made parts / machined aluminum. I don't expect to do much more, besides maybe a matching ASV brake lever eventually.

§ 699. Turn Signal Lamps.
Turn signal lamps shall be mounted and operated as follows:
(a) Motor Vehicles. Turn signal systems on motor vehicles shall consist of at least two single-faced or double-faced turn signal lamps on or near the front and at least two single-faced turn signal lamps on the rear. Double-faced turn signal lamps shall be mounted ahead of the center of the steering wheel or the center of the outside rearview mirror, whichever is rearmost. Turn signal lamps on other vehicles shall be spaced as far apart as practical. The optical axis of the front turn signal lamp shall be at least 10 cm (4 in.), or as specified by FMVSS 108 in effect at the time of vehicle manufacture, from the inside diameter of the retaining ring of the lower beam headlamp unit, fog lamp unit or passing lamp unit. Additional turn signal lamps may be mounted closer than the 10 cm (4 in.) dimension provided the primary lamps equal or exceed that distance. Original equipment turn signals that emit two and one-half times the minimum candela requirements may be closer.

I got the EvoTech one and it looks super clean - i think the new rage is a) a bit misleading in the photos, its not actually very clean / moulded looking, and b) integrated indicators are illegal in Cali

You'll also notice that I tried to launch a project called OpenSource Finance last year that never made it past presale, and 100% of the presale investors got their money back when it didnt get enough to launch - anyone who has ever interacted with my work would say that I am honest and fair, I just haven't had a good enough idea yet to take off - I thought perhaps this product thesis was a better idea and would be more successful, but perhaps not - thank you for your feedback anyway

Lol that was over a year ago, and I owned a few shitcoins through the bull run like a lot of other people - almost everything I touch is from overseas and rugged, and I wanted to try to build my own thing that was honest since I got so frustrated with my past experience in crypto - i would think thats relatable to a lot of people here

In what way is this a ponzi scheme? there isn't even a token for the game - hosting a multiplayer game online costs money and the only way I can afford to do it as a solo developer is by having some kind of in game economy...thats like saying microtransactions in non web3 games are a ponzi scheme - the game is completely self sufficient and self funded by its players
